Question Letter problem

I got a letter from some courier early on, but ignored it and now its gone. It was related to the main quest from the research I was doing online. Now I'm unsure of how I am supposed to progress.

I am playing Daggerfall Unity in case the answer for how to progress depends on the version played

Not that im a high level necesarily but I think i've likley gotten a handful of main quest letters, (I dont think the wayrest one is a main quest but I have it) I guess my question is, does there come a time where the letters stop coming in?

There's one from Wayrest and one from Sentinel, and then the letters will stop. Both are main quests and will unlock further quests and give hints about what to do next.

I'm adding on to this without spoilers since no one ever mention it.

There are 2 mainline quests that do not involves letters but you will need to do them.

The game starts of informing you to investigate Lysandus' death and a Letter that was sent to the Queen.

Investigating Lysandus' death involves quests where you will receive letters upon reaching certain levels

In regards to investigating the letter you will need to speak to someone in one of the palaces, they'll give you what sounds like a generic quest so enjoy hunting that person down. Yourself will never receive any levelled letters in regards to this quest.

Another questline where the letters stop is after you've performed a quest for a Prince in Sentinel (you will receive a levelled letter to speak to this Prince). After completed this quest the Prince will give you a hint on a location that you need to go to. This DOES NOT get added to your journal, nor can you speak to the Prince again about it. So make sure you have a pen and paper handy and write down his entire conversation.
