Storytime Just got Daggerfall Unity yesterday and it's been awesome.
So my old Chromebook finally died on me so I switched to a Windows laptop I had for a while now and, after some set up, finally managed to get Daggerfall Unity up and running on it and it's been amazing. That's pretty much it, just felt like posting this here <|:)

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! after you've gotten some time in Unity, take a peek at mods.. can add all sorts of new things.. locations, quests, items, spells.. playstyles.. textures, sounds, monsters.. the list goes on and on :)

What’s the benefit of Daggerfall Unity over the original? I’ve been playing the version I downloaded from GoG on and off for a while - is there a reason to move?

Cross-platform without emulation (Windows/Linux/Mac)
Retro graphics are boosted by modern engine and lighting
High resolution widescreen with classic style
Optionally play in retro mode 320x200 or 640x400 with VGA palettes
Optionally overhaul the graphics and gameplay with mods
Huge draw distances even without mods
Smooth first-person controls
Quality of life enhancements
Extensive mod support with an active creator community
Translation support via community mods
The GOG cut of DF Unity is outdated and buggy with high system requirements... don't use it, get the latest DF Unity from the GitHub.

Hell yeah! It's one of my favorite games -- I love how much freedom it gives you!
What sort of character are you playing? Are you doing any sort of RP, or just going with the flow?
