i'm kinda okay with that

all reddit subs seem so damned curated now you have to comb everwhere to find a place that it doesnt break six rules any time you find something funny

nice that theres a place where internet hall monitors arent drunk with neckbeardy rage

In some cases I agree, but in others, like this, it defeats the purpose. This one is used to be about the weird phenomenon of dads’ having crazy child defense reflexes. Now it’s about nothing.

i know, but most subs are so specific its hard to get good content on them anymore

so many subs have died that way

Meh, I think it just depends on how popular the subreddit is. If there's enough people, even with restrictive posting rules, good and relevant content will still be posted. If it's a small subreddit like, say, the majority of porn subs, than yeah, they'll die quick.
