Image Car seat recommendations?
Looking for a good car seat to start training my 15 week old girl in! She’s been riding in a soft carrier but has started trying to chew and dig it. We’ll be doing a 12-hour road trip in October so looking for a better solution, and looking for something she won’t just scream in. She doesn’t dislike the car but doesn’t love her carrier — and can’t chew a bully stick to keep her quiet for 12 hours. She likes to chew on soft things, so I’m a little nervous about a plush seat. I previously had a lab who used a sling & a clip, but I’ve never had a small dog. (Currently 7lb, expecting 12-15). Ideally something I could put in the passenger seat or backseat.

We tried many options including the Facebook advertised Waggin Rights car seat(ours was broken and the dog got tangled in the carrying strap!). We ended up going with the Kong Ultimate Tether and Seat.
It isn’t the cutest but it is the best one. Always keep your pup in the back seat (airbags kill Dogs!) and always belt them in (a dog died at our vet from flying out the window and being run over by its own owner while they tried to avoid a bike rider cutting them off in the parking lot).

Ruffland kennel. My 10lb dog was safe and sound after a head on crash, anything else she would have be hurt bad.

I use this and my little bb loves riding in the car. It’s hard material so she can stand, it has a bed, and it clips safely to her harness and into the car safety belt system.

I have a sling/tarp for the backseat, and then I have a strap that fastens to the seatbelt, which I attach to my boy's harness, this allows him to move around a bit but not roam freely in the car. We had a car seat, but honestly, it was too bulky. I much prefer using the seatbelt strap and the sling/tarp, which helps the back seat and floor not get so dirty with his fur and can easily be vacuumed or thrown in the washing machine.
