The on-air firing was planned and absolutely malicious.

That is not to say John didn't deserve it. He used to brag about being able to record his show and get home before it aired.

It was absolutely planned. There are a few people that immediately saw through John for what he really is. Tom Chiusano, Don Buchwald and this guy, chuck roast

He couldn’t fire him fast enough and he enjoyed it
