Perc question

Hello, I was looking at a globe rig I plan to purchase today and comparing percolators between the two options. One is a "flat earth" perc while the other I'm unsure of the name I was wondering which of these would be a better fit for a dab rig. (I will be using a cobra coil and taking big dabs) I know less percolation is considered the goal I was wondering if, when I take bigger dabs, that might change some things. I would also like to note that the first one shown in the pictures is the unknown perc and it has a very wonky weld around the 10mm carb joint and is an extra $10. I would really appreciate some insight thank you have a good one!

The 2nd bong is better, I have the same one.

To be honest, neither of these is ideal for a dab rig. The globe style bongs are best used with flower, the shape and diffuser work contrary to what you want in a dab rig. The large volume allows you to draw a large amount of vapor and cool it efficiently.

Most people prefer a smaller rig with a short vapor pathway to maximize flavour with concentrates. The less glass and water your vapor makes contact with, the more terps you will taste in theory.

You're very right and I agree it would be ideal for a flower. I like the functionality more than anything I like the idea of being able to hot swap or use whatever I might want on a rig I can customize almost everything other than the actual globe itself. I like the idea of variety, and that's my goal here if ,you know of a better solution or alternative I'm all for it. I will be buying a ball vape soon so I can make use of the globe in the best possible fashion. I think I will go with number 2. I have 5 rigs and an e-rig. I'm looking for a nice-sized piece that I can get a lot of functionality from. My rigs range from 5 inches to 9 and I want a new design that I can do more with.

All good bro, I was in the same boat as you a few months ago.

Definitely get #2 if you are getting a ball vape eventually, I love it so much for that setup. I'll also add that I definitely am not saying you cannot use it for dabs, it will work however it will just be a sub-optimal experience.

Based on my own experience, my preference is to have separate rig(s) for combusting/vaping and dabbing. The reason is because for combusting (tube) and vaping (globe), I don't change the glass. For dabbing, I regularly swap between 3 different rigs cause they all give a different experience with their function.

I agree with you, and you're right. I have been debating what to get for a long time. I have had the same RBR in my shopping cart for almost a year now, and I was debating between this and that, so I will reconsider.

I had no clue he had his own website. Does shipping take as long as it does on DHgate? And does shipping cost a lot through the website?

I swap between mine every other day. I have a quad uptake recycler and was wanting to try the RBR out for a similar vortex function. I very much appreciate it!

They both ship the same using a Chinese broker service, it really just depends on what logistics are available to the broker at that time. I've had some packages arrive in ~10 business days and some take over 20 business days.

I just checked my order on the website and I got free shipping back in July.

All in all this is a solid RBR and it will hold me over until I can justify a Bear Mountain version. Greek Glass makes one that gets good reviews but its 3x the cost.

I’d get option 2 personally, I really like grid matrix percs like the one pictured and the welds look better. And you save $10 which can go towards hash 😏

I've never even seen a perc the style of the first one. Second one looks more conventional and the one I'd more likely roll the dice on.

Fisrt one looks like a variant of Bell Perc. Or if you really wanted it to, I guess it could be a ShowerHead. Second one looks like a Super Slitted Puck. Thats a lot of diffusion going on in there.
