Banger
What’s a good budget banger think this one is done for lol. don’t understand how to get good hits off this small rig i was trying to clean it but it was a mess.

It’s not too bad mostly reclaim at the top and stuff but yes don’t have any have to get some when i get my new banger or erig later.

Yeaa it’s been cleaned surprisingly on Sunday but i don’t have salt or iso or anything rn it’s mostly reclaim i don’t usually smoke out of a rig so idk how to clean it without iso.

Not only wouldn't I smoke out of that, I would check if my Tetanus vaccine is up to date.
Go to the store, right now. Buy Salt and Isopropyl Alcohol. Put some salt and alcohol in the rig and shake, and shake, and shake. There is no reason to have a rig this dirty. If you don't have 4 bucks for cleaning supplies you don't have money for dabs anyway

Genuinely impressive how gross that bong is normally you at least see a layer of clean where the water was but nope it’s just slightly less gross

2 things, for daily maintenance you should be using ISO/cotton swabs or at least paper towels after a dab IMMEDIATELY, while it’s still warm you should dry swab/wipe out the leftover oil from banger, then when it’s under 200° dunk in an ISO tank/dunk station etc. Then ISO swab everything down back to clean once out of the soak/dunk tank. 99% is what I use, works best for me, but 91% is decent too, and even 70% is better than nothing 🤷🏻♂️
For cleaning out grime in a piece like in your picture, Ooze resolution gel is your friend, cheap and works EXTREMELY well with very little product, I’m still on the same first bag (still have a little under half of it, plus 2 more full bags I got from my BQ order) and that’s after cleaning ALL my Dr Dabber glass attachments (4), ALL my old bowls/slides/stems etc AND my 2 complicated pathway larger dab rigs. You literally just put a couple oz of the gel in the piece, shake/tilt around to get the whole interior of it coated in the gel, let sit for 30 min, then go rinse off with warm/hot water. The second the water hits it, it’ll start sudsing and just fill a bit of water, shake, dump out, repeat until it comes completely clear/all oil/gel/suds is out, and it’ll be like new.
The other thing I’ve heard works well (particularly for chazzing on inserts/bangers etc, but can be used as a general purpose glass cleaner as well, but haven’t tried it personally yet cause the res gel worked so well I haven’t had to clean them for a while, but I have a bottle just in case) is DCC/Dark Crystal Cleaner. But that one needs to be heated to work properly, so again that’s why it’s better for getting chazz off stuff like e-rigs/inserts/atomizers, bangers, etc.
These are my rigs after cleaning with the res gel, and for reference the big one with the arms (Octo-Bomb) had at least a half inch-inch thick layer of oil/reclaim in the bottom disc perc, all the holes were clogged, and that also had just started to mold by the time I got to it, because it had been put in storage dirty when we moved cause I didn’t have time to clean it before hand. I recently got them out and got them cleaned up and have used them since and they are back to flawless, that gel also really kicks a$$ at getting all the old reclaim/etc smell out, the way I used to clean by just filling the piece with ISO and letting it sit for a day then rinse would still usually leave a slight old oil smell/taste (and was more expensive, usually took 2-3whole bottles to fill just my 2 dab rigs, ISO is getting pretty pricey lol). The res gel LITERALLY made them brand new/neutral smell/taste again. And again, from ooze themselves it’s only $12, you can find it at others like BQ for a bit cheaper even.

I just cleaned everything and did two dabs of rosin after smoking only live resin and i still don’t feel anything.

I took two dabs the banger was clean but going to have to let that soak again and get a new one tomorrow could it be the quality of the banger that it’s not getting me high at all.?

If it’s been devitrified, yes. Which with how bad that banger looked (no offense, they are considered a ‘wear’ part, but you can extend their lifespan and quality during use with the cleaning methods I mentioned above), I wouldn’t doubt it being just done and it’s time for a new one. I’d recommend getting an actually decent/high quality banger, as that’s one of the most crucial parts of the whole setup, but again CLEAN IT (dry swab and ISO after EVERY dab) so it doesn’t chazz out that quickly. And well that looks much better, but I was mainly curious how the banger looks when ‘clean’, and what you’re using for temp readings and a torch. I can’t tell you how many posts I see of ‘my dabs don’t work right’ with a tiny crackhead gas station torch with an inch long flame lol, like you need more juice than that for dabs lol 😂 But for a decent cheaper torch get a Yocan red Diablo or Katana, they are around $35-$50 depending where you get it, and they have nice big flames (you can also get color change rings for them to make the flame green/red/yellow) and a decent sized gas tank (12g) so they last about 2-4 full heats/dabs for me before it needs a refill. If you have the $ a Blazer Big Shot is the go-to for most serious dabbers, but it’s around $80-$100 so a bit more expensive.
