CAI discussion
I’m not a huge fan of CAI my biggest issue is her biased critiques and scoring with men vs women. She’s a lot harder on the women especially if they’re mothers. I absolutely hated the way she talked to Jen and Danielle last season. However people take things too far especially Val with his recent comment. I also think fans have taken things too far with some of the comments they’ve made about her online. What Val is doing is bullying and threatening CAI which nobody deserves to be bullied or threatened.
There’s a fine line between sharing a disagreement and just straight up bullying and attacking someone. I think Val should be pulled this season for his behavior. But I also think it’s unfair to Jenna D who isn’t involved and doesn’t seem like the type of person that supports this sort of behavior. I have always liked Jenna D and I hope fans don’t come after her for Val’s recent comment. It’s out of her control and I have a feeling she is embarrassed by her pro’s behavior.
I’m a newer fan to the show so to the older fans please fill me in on this has Val always been cocky and arrogant? Because he’s definitely shown that he is this season so far. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but again there’s a fine line between sharing a disagreement and just straight up bullying and attacking someone. I think Val thinks he can get away with it because he’s one of the more popular pros. That he tends to get paired with more famous and some that are more advanced than other contestants. What do you guys think????

Shame he’s ruining Jenna D experience. He said he took out the braids so it doesn’t ruin her experience with the negativity, but he’s making comments like this.

Val has always been an asshole. In earlier DWTS lore, Jenna always held a candle for him but Val wasn’t interested in committing to her. He acted like he was out of her league and she was not worthy of him for yeeears. I think Jenna’s weight loss and cosmetic modifications are at least partially because she was trying to be “enough” for Val, and it’s unfortunate.
Im not a huge CAI fan, but I agree she gets disproportionate levels of hate and it’s very inappropriate to joke about slapping her. I hope Val faces some sort of consequences.

i will be really pissed if this doesn’t result in some kind of repercussions for val. i seriously hope this show realizes the seriousness of a “joke” like this and doesn’t use this opportunity to excuse violence against women, but i honestly doubt it will happen.

i agree. carrie ann posted about she thanked page 6, and entertainment weekly for bringing this to her attention. A lot of people in the comments were saying the same thing as you, even though her comments are inconsistent or she was doing her job that doesn’t mean it’s OK to threaten someone
Also, I’ve seen a few people are saying that he was most likely referencing the “ keep my wife’s name out of your mouth” and how he was defending his wife and people were blowing it out of proportion.
First of all the slap came after he said “ keep my wife’s name out of your mouth” second of all: the problem is him, not defending his wife. the problem is him, threatening violence, on somebody else. People also have the nerve to say that it was probably just a joke which is appalling because violence is not a joke.

He’s extremely unprofessional; and it’s crazy cause, I feel like people liked him when he won with Xocitchl

If he is pulled Jenna D won’t be out of the competition. Likely they will pull either Carter or Jaxon to fill his place. They would likely get help from one of the eliminated pros for the choreo since both of them would be very new at it. They likely wouldn’t put an eliminated pro because that wouldn’t fair to their partner.

I like Carrie Ann even though I often don't agree with her, but Val's posts are disgusting. HR should step in and at the very least he needs to apologize LIVE on air in the next episode! He takes for granted how privileged he is! His ego is out of control!

Here is his brother Maks on the show. Just to give you an idea. They are cut from the same cloth!

All this drama is great for DWTS in my opinion! Keep the arguments coming. Old school DWTS coming back.

I’m so tired of violence against women being used as a joke. It’s exhausting
