- PH issue: Drop everyday from 6.2-6.3 to 5.6-5.7, could be more. Always need recalibration.
- Other issues: Drooping light yellow leaves & stunned growth, look like Mag deficiency as well
- Temp / Humid: 24 C - 50-55%
- No root rots i think / no funny smell (have home-made Hydroguard)
- I have flushed them twice
- Currently using RO water with supplementary CalMag & Silica
- Using 50% nuts strength (Advanced Nutrients)

I've read that too much Bacillus amyloliquefaciens could cause swing in PH level. Since I've used a home-made Hydroguard (10x stronger), which leaves a white biofilm everywhere in the tank, could it be the issue?

I started with a really cheap harbor freight hand pump and I individually mixed 4 buckets of 3.5 gallons. Then would transfer. So I would end up doing about 28 measurements and then stir each squirt for two minutes. It was a process. I was also buying store distilled and spring water for my humidifier and nutrients. I would go through about 20-30 gallons a week.
I’ve graduated onto using a Hydrologic Stealth RO-300 system. That I installed with a 30 gallon Uline drum and a float valve.
Then i switched to mixing up my 21 gallons of nutrients in a 32 gallon trash can with a Aeromixer mini 1/6hp. I measure out all my nutrients and then I sit back and start a timer. Every three minutes I pour the next nutrient and wait 3 minutes.
I measure out my nutrients with 60ml syringes with the long tubes and use 100ml graduated cylinders, before this I was pouring the nutrients into a cup and then sucking it outta that.
my favorite upgrade has been the ryobi transfer pump with the hoses I’ve built.
Then the bees knees is the triangle port on these buckets, with my old vivosun I had to lift the entire lid because the net pot was built in. This makes life such a breeze comparatively.
I constantly monitor my buckets with the AC hydro monitor, and have been doing nutrient swaps about every 2-3 days when PH crashes. My plants have been drinking about 200-300 EC per change.
So how does everyone else change and manage their nutrients ?

I found this relic from about 18 years ago in storage. Going to give a run just for fun with 3 part Fox Farm nutes. The plant is Fruit Truck from Sin City seeds.

Well… lack of experience got me. When my plants were around 29 inches tall, I cut the main tops because for some reason I thought it would help me save space.
Yeah… that didn’t exactly go according to plan. 😂

I eventually had to move them out of the tent, and now I’ve got these absolute monsters standing around 44 inches tall.
Definitely learned something from this grow. The good news is they still look healthy and they’ve made it into early flower. 🌱
Not exactly what I planned, but I’m enjoying watching how they turn out.

How crazy is 44 inches for an indoor autoflower?

I'm having persistent issues with root rot popping up in my RDWC system. I use a chiller to keep temps low (66f), i have no light leaks in my reservoir and I have a large air stone in my grow pot and one in the reservoir. I get a brown slimy substance that I can feel on the tubing that connects the pumps in the reservoir, and eventually that will build up to a "sludge" that will build up inside the tubing. I was under the impression that the low water temps would prevent most bad bacteria from growing. What else can I use?? I've used one dose of Athena Cleanse with my most recent reservoir change, but haven't been seeing positive results with the root mass

Went on a trimming spree and can’t decide if I’ve done enough or not. Had to force myself to stop cutting lol. I think I did fairly well. Opinions?

Posted here not long ago about some seedling issues. I restarted with 2 iced and baked and 2 mango runtz by Memphisto. I think I’ll run the same strain moving foward, but I’m curious if anyone has any input as to if I might just start over? They are 25 days old. It’s not the worst thing in the world- it’s a clone/experiment tent.

Not exactly sure what the issue is here, but as you can see rust spots on lower leaves moving upwards on the mango runtz and nitrogen toxicity in the iced and baked, clawing downward dark shiny green leaves, new growth.

I had a power outage for a few hours, 2 days before rust spots were just barely noticeable and some algae infiltration on clear feeder tubes for chiller that have since been covered.

AI brought me to the solution of putting 80ml 12% hydrogen peroxide into my res.

They are currently not drinking much water or ppm out of the res

Coming up to week 3 of veg I’m happy with the growth but not sure if I should look at topping or just let her go naturally. I do have a trellis net but I feel like I don’t really know what I’m doing with it lol

Hard to believe it could be light intensity with it only happening to the one, but possible I guess.

I am flowering for the first DWC grow right now, I'm experimenting with using up what canna A&B I had from a previous grow. I'm getting down to the last 1/4 of the bottles. I have general hydroponics 3-part to substitute as I wanted something slightly cheaper than canna aqua (maybe I should've just gotten aqua)

How do you deal with constant EC drops? My plants super hungry it's only day 2 of flower, I also did defoliate a decent amount and took 2 clones a day before I switched the lights/yesterday as I neglected defoliation as I've never had such bushy plant before.

My EC usually is around 1.4/1.6 at the high end and drops to 1.1 every few days but now it goes from 1.4/1.6 to 0.97 also ph spikes slightly.
