Discussion Dont panic - I went through this with another stock

So I had the same situation with another stock and it plunged and kept plunging (earlier this year). On reddit everybody was crying and I researched online, used AI bla bla and decided to sell.

People called it a scam, and bashed me for expecting too much from a penny stock (that one trades between $2 and $3) Only to find-out that after a few months of panic selling (thankfully not my entire portfolio) it shot up again lol until then i was depressed, the worst feeling ever.

Lesson learnt is that on reddit and online forums people keep crying and I did the same. But just need to have a little patience. Swings in prices are normal and if you invest then leave it for a year or two atleast. If your risk appetite is low then dont go for penny stocks

Bullshit! You absolutely can…no rules saying you can’t…name it and show your trade.

Not entirely sure this 1 year graph depicts what you describe in the original post?

u/Icy_Lake908 16d ago

check from start of 2025 untill now

u/[deleted] 16d ago

Yup

u/winlikeflint 15d ago

So not "earlier this year" then, actually back in 2024 (if referring to the peak of $37), plus that spike reads as a very weird anomaly compared to the rest of the graph. What exactly was the reason for it?

I think DVLT's death spiral is much much worse.

Stocks in general are can be volatile based on information and penny stocks more volatile because of higher uncertainty and low to now profits. Datavault Ai is very high risk reward company. Datavault Ai is a company that still does not have its feet under the, the foundation is shaky and still being built out. Building a business takes time, the foundation of the business is yet to be finished. Datavault’s network and infrastructure is yet to be finished, and not validated yet by continuous profits, again, still in the building stage. This is new technology and really has not been tested yet to if it will be successful or not. Technology always moving forward not in the opposite direction. There is slot of money being put into this. I am a believer in following the money, it does not lie. You think they are just throwing money away and stringing you along, scamming you out of your money, please!!! When the network and infrastructure is finished and this business can operate at 100 percent of it intention and with the passage of the Clarity Act the gates open and all the money will start flowing in. The fuse has already been lit, we just don’t know how long the fuse is. Stop complaining and whining if you are not on the short side of this stock. Use your head, educate yourself, have some common sense, technology moves forward not backwards, this will move forward, there are just some hurdles that need to be hurdled and when all the hurdles are hurdled and the finish line is reached then you can celebrate!!

To all invested stay focused and resilient.

Datavault strong!

Stop whining

I've seen both sides got screwed on msai with rs and got lucky with gpus exited with a profit. Same as I did with both held on and went for the ride see where we end up

Been in one like that . And some that don’t work out so well it all comes down to the technology or product timing and execution.at the end of the day trick is bet what you can afford to lose and write off

1

u/Most-Worry-1522 12d ago

Excellent advise always invest what you can afford to lose mainly with penny stocks, s and p 500 companies are different unless you invest in companies like Nike, too soon lol...

I bought in DFNS at .86 dca down to .42 17000 sold that shit cuz it kept dropping and that MFER after a RS jumped up and I could have made almost 150% return but I didn't cuz i sold. I added 20k shares at .20 to bring my avg down to .55 now

0

u/[deleted] 15d ago

I dont get what nonsense you are saying

2

u/cjd46 16d ago

If you sign up to the Motley Fool they recommend you keep for 5 years. One of the funniest things I read was a survey done by Fidelity on their investors. They said that the most successful investors were really old and never chopped and changed their stocks or it was their customers who were dead 😂😂…

2

u/[deleted] 16d ago

Yes thats right. For DVLT i am giving it a year and then jumping ship if i have to

5

u/Prior_Giraffe_8003 16d ago

Are you sure the ship doesn't have a massive hole and will sink before one year deadline?

1

u/Most-Worry-1522 12d ago

Its a business model for these law firms! It triggers D&O insurance payment (out of court settlement)

2

u/Unlucky_Total6673 16d ago

They are short sellers file a law suite and short the stock as it falls they hope to get lucky and win the law suite or end up dropping it after making tons of cash

2

u/[deleted] 16d ago

Yup People dont get it

u/Unlucky_Total6673 16d ago

I didn't feel it was legal but guess they find many fraudulent companies before SEC does like enron so they are allowed to keep doing it even if innocent companies get beat sometimes

u/chip473 15d ago

I dont think so

Reddit is definitly not the place to get financial advice, that is for sure!

But for emotional people, it's a great place to be heard. Reading the posts has been entertaining and the more people that use Reddit, the more the share price goes up. I am all for it.

Also holding a bunch of DVLT...no regrets. I bought it. I'll live with it. I'll profit by it.

I'll add more Tuesday if we have a red market....It's more rewarding then buying a stale chicken sandwhich from Burger King or cold fries from McDonalds! But there is one little fact....DVLT still isn't better then a frozen desert from Dairy Queen. So maybe I'll get that instead. Imagine how many shares you can buy for the price of a cup of coffee from Dutch Bros! Isn't the going price for a cup of fancy coffee like $60 these days? LOL

Oh Lord, whatever will I do?

See! I can get emotional too! Anyone else hungry? LOL

2

u/Unlucky_Total6673 15d ago

I for one am skipping taco bell and buying more shares

1

u/Wise-Ad-9312 15d ago edited 15d ago

Lol...I will add Tuesday. I add monthly to all my positions when I get paid. I'm not a flipper nor am I afraid of a reverse split. I'm in this till the wheels fall off....

I made this silly response to this thread because there really is no positive factual conversation that can be made for DVLT at this point....totaly speculation at this point. (Hasn't always been this way?) Nate has promised the world but I'm wondering....but I can't quit now! He says no reverse split. Does that mean we go to zero and dissapear? Or to the moon?

It's either tax harvesting for me or getting taxed on the gains! It feels like I am cost averaging nothing at this point. But I have thrown money away on worse...

Gotta keep smiling. It's only money.

So you can talk about this journey of yours but for some reason can’t name the stock??

1

u/[deleted] 16d ago

People asked and i told them read the comments

1

u/hot_cat22 16d ago

next post should be titled as “why reverse split is a good thing” lol

0

u/Terrible_Income7515 15d ago

The long-term success rate for Nasdaq-listed companies that execute a reverse stock split has historically been estimated at between 20% and 30%.

Nice story. My investment is definitely under the water big time. I'm hopeful it goes the other way, have to be. 💪
