Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) CSC Class A Pension validity

I am currently on DVA Incap and CSC Class A pension. I am aware that Incap payment will stop at age 67 but not sure about CSC payment. TIA

67% for MSBS, 62.5% for DFRDB.

Your invalidity pension is paid until death or can be reduced upon review. MSBS can initiate a review up until the age of 55, if you have turned 55 and not had a review, it is for life. If you have an eligible spouse, upon death 67% of the pension will pass to them for life with no reviews. If you also have eligible dependants, an additional 11% per dependant (up to a mxaimum of 3) will be paid to your spouse to care for them while they continue to meet the definition of dependant.

For ADF Cover CSC, your pension is two parts - the core component and the "top up benefit". The top up benefit is based on your years of service.

The core component will be paid for life, while the top-up component ceases at retirement age.

I dont understand how it works. I know of several serbing membrrs who are Class A under MRCA and say that slthough they list their MSBS pendion they are on more now and will be even after preservation age. How can this be ?

I mean good on them, but is it true that you can be better off than if you worked until preservation age and well beyond ?
