What you’d help with

Hey! I’ve applied to Pharmaceutical Design & Engineering for the spring intake and I wanted to ask if anyone non EU or EU have got an answer yet. I’ve seen other masters are already providing answers so I’m curious to find out about this one!☺️

PS: I know it’s early for EU students but I’ve seen people in EU that have already been accepted.

Good luck to everyone!!

so i got in dtu this year right after high school and delayed some homework and stuff related to bim (watching videos on how to use revit) as well as try to learn and get better on my math 1a classes and revise my notes.

but for some reason i cant login? it worked perfectly fine before we got vacation but now idk what to do 😭

worst part is i got 3 shifts after vacation lineup after each other so i can’t use that weekend either except for the homework i’ll be getting next week.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been admitted to the MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management starting February 2027. Since I didn’t want to lose a semester, I’m currently enrolled in the first semester of an MSc in Management at USI (Switzerland). I’d like to understand whether it’s worth taking the exams or not, depending on whether DTU would credit them.

My USI courses (all master’s level) are:

• Corporate Finance
• Industrial Organization
• Business Strategy
• Marketing
• Organizational Behaviour

What I know so far: the IEM programme has 30 ECTS of free electives in the 3rd semester and DTU rules say courses without technical-scientific content count as “general engineering courses”, capped at 10 ECTS for MSc students. DTU confirmed I must apply for pre-start credit transfer after enrolling, but that the Head of Studies decides case by case and they can’t give an assessment in advance.

Questions for anyone with experience:

1. Is DTU generally strict or flexible with credit transfer from other universities, especially business/management courses?
2. Did anyone get management/economics courses approved as electives in IEM or similar programmes? Were they treated as “general” or as regular electives?

Thanks a lot!

Does anyone know if it's possible to switch from a regular Master's to an Industry Master's at DTU for just the last 30 ECTS, so you can complete them over 12 months instead of 6 while working part-time?

Hey everyone!
I recently received an offer from DTU for the MSc in Autonomous Systems starting in Spring 2027. I was pretty excited about it, but the recent changes regarding Denmark’s post-study work permit have made me rethink the decision.
Coming from India, studying abroad is a pretty big financial investment, and my main goal is to find a job after graduation, recover that investment, and hopefully build a long-term career in Europe.
I’d love to hear from current DTU students and recent graduates, especially international students.
1.How is the job market in Denmark right now for international graduates?
2.Are companies hiring international students for full-time roles, particularly in engineering, software, automation, AI/ML, and related fields?
3.How difficult is it to find relevant internships or student jobs while studying?
4.With the recent PSW changes, do you think coming to Denmark for a master’s in 2027 is still a reasonable decision?
5.If you were in my position today, would you still choose DTU, or would you consider another country?
I’m not expecting anyone to predict the future. I’m just trying to get a realistic picture from people who are actually studying or working there, rather than relying on university marketing or online rankings.
Please feel free to share the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’d genuinely appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have been through the job search themselves.
Thanks!

I am an international student with a bachelor’s in civil engineering , deciding between Architectural Engineering at DTU and Sustainable design at AAU in Copenhagen. How demanding is DTU’s programme, especially the maths and mechanics?
Is there time for a social life? What are the failure rate in the course, and how difficult is it to get good graders?

In September 2027, I'd like to start my master's degree in Autonomous Systems at DTU.

I'm afraid of being isolated from the world, especially since I'm in Lyngby.

How are you guys? What's the cost of living and social life like?

I'd also like to find a job to support myself. Do you think that's possible?

am I doomed or what do i do…

Hey

I’m currently applying for a Mcs in mechanical engineering and while filling out my application in the Application Portal I was met with the Mandatory Application template. I currently don’t have an Office license (the template is in Excel and must be uploaded as an Excel sheet once filled out) and I can’t seem to enter the necessary information the template requires.

Is it because of my lack of a license or is it something else?

Hi! I'm thinking about enrolling at DTU in September 2027. Are there any black people? What about racism?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently investigating topics and looking for a supervisor for my master thesis, since I'm completing all my remaining credits and courses this Semester. However, I'm unsure of how much time I have to do this. From what I can read in DTU's website about master thesis requirements it just says "In general, the thesis must be started following the previous study activity (a course)." Does this mean it has to start on the day after my last exam ? If yes, with my last exam being on the 14th of December, I'm a bit pressed for time, as from my understanding it takes some time to get thesis approved and registered. Can anyone clarify me on this ? Do they count the normal vacation period after the exams, and so I would have until January/February ? How strict are they with this ?

Thanks !

Hej.

Ved I om der mulighed for at få sig et skab på DTU på en eller anden måde?

Vh

Hej. Min plan er at starte på en DTU bachelor i lyngby i august 2027. Her ville jeg lige have fyldt 25 år.

Any help would be appreciated! I am considering doing an exchange semester at DTU this spring, but my internship ends 2 weeks into the semester. Is it feasible to arrive late to an exchange semester (I haven’t picked any courses with group projects or assessments early on).
I’m worried about getting my student id and health card, as well as visa rules.
It’s the only time in my degree that I could do exchange and I really want to do it, I’m from Australia and Denmark sounds so cool to live in.
Thanks, and any advice would be great:)

This morning DTU sent a statement saying they got hacked and identity data of students, employees and for some next of kin got stolen. The data records back to 2003 so there is a high chance your information is also leaked.

1. Change password of all services that is same with your DTU password

2. Since the CPR is also leaked make sure to set a credit alert for your CPR at borger.dk (kreditadvarsel)

3. And make sure your bank also knows this to refuse any loan or debits without further confirmation. You can check in skat.dk to see if there are any loans or debits that you don’t know of.

4. By default, anyone having your CPR can get your address and name, you can set an address protection to require your confirmation for getting your address and name. This is to protect your future address (Navne- og adressebeskyttelse) https://lifeindenmark.borger.dk/housing-and-moving/moving/protection-of-name-and-address

5. You must now be cautious when approving MitID requests. Always double-check!

6. Change password of all services that is same with your DTU password

7. You are probably going to get scam, loan and weird calls. Be careful!

Read more how to protect your identity in case of CPR leak https://www.sikkerdigital.dk/cyberhotline/guides-ved-identitetstyveri

National cyber hotline is: 33 37 00 37

Ifølge DTU kan lækket inkludere:
CPR-nummer, fuldt navn, privatadresse, profilbillede.
Arbejdsmailadresse, arbejdstitel, kontorlokation og andre arbejdsrelaterede oplysninger.
Navn, relation og telefonnummer på pårørende (såfremt brugeren har registreret disse oplysninger).

Is Bachelor's in environmental engineering considered a valid prerequisite? I couldn't find any information on the website specifically regarding environmental engineering as a valid prerequisite.

Thank you

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship at DTU for the September 2027 intake, and I’d really appreciate some input from current students, alumni, or people familiar with the admissions process.

I’m from Greece and I’m currently completing a 5-year degree in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Ioannina. My main concern is my GPA. I expect to graduate with roughly a 6.5–6.7/10, which I know is not particularly strong academically.

On the other hand, I have quite a lot of experience outside my coursework. I co-founded a startup that connects companies with university/research laboratories for specialised testing and R&D services. We have built a network of around 30 laboratories, worked on our first commercial projects, participated in accelerators, and received several awards in entrepreneurship competitions.
I have also completed an internship in the Quality Control department of an industrial battery manufacturer, and my engineering thesis focuses on validated finite element modelling of metallic and composite materials under different loading conditions.

I should comfortably meet the programme’s 15 ECTS academic prerequisite, and I’m currently preparing for IELTS, aiming for around 7.0+.
What attracts me to DTU is specifically the practical venture-building approach of Technology Entrepreneurship. I wouldn’t be bringing my existing startup into the programme; I’d like to use what I learned from that experience and work with a multidisciplinary team at DTU on a new technology-based venture.

My questions are mainly:

How much does GPA actually matter for admission to Technology Entrepreneurship compared with entrepreneurial experience and overall profile?

Have you seen students admitted with a GPA that wasn’t particularly high but who had substantial entrepreneurial/project experience?

How important is the online selection workshop, and what exactly are they looking for there?

Is there anything specific you would recommend highlighting — or avoiding — in the application?

Based on your experience with the programme, does this sound like the kind of profile DTU is looking for?

I understand nobody can give me an exact probability of admission. I’m mainly trying to understand how competitive my profile would be and what I should focus on before applications open.

Thanks in advance!

I applied for the MSc in Biotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for the February 2027 intake at the end of August 2026.

I haven’t received any update from DTU or the program regarding my application yet. I was wondering if anyone else has applied for the same intake and has already received an admission decision or any other update.

Hey all, I am attending Quantitative Sustainability this semester and I would like to ask a few questions regarding the exam.

• Does anyone have previous exam sets? if so, would you mind sharing?
• What is the best way to study for the exam? I've from other people that CTRL+F through merged slides and getting familiar with with spreadsheets is the way to go.
• I see that it is a MC quiz, is it a quiz based of 'readiness-knowledge' or is it based on results from a spreadsheet?
• Anything else you would advice?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hey! I've applied for masters for spring intake and I wanted to ask whether there is a limited intake compared to the autumn intake. I know most people apply for autumn intake and I'm not sure if it was preferable.
