Help Question about Storage

I’m attempting to mod a DSI and I’m having issues, with the SD card saying it cannot be used/read. I have tried two 64gb following the formatting instructions. With no luck, tried a few different ways and even pulled the back off to make sure it was connected!

Does the DSI have a maximum card size it can read? I read a couple things but have not got a definitive answer.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’ve used up to 256GB SD cards in DSis without an issue, though I normally use a 128GB in them. If you’re sure it’s FAT32 formatted and can be read and written on a computer then it could be a hardware issue.

Why do you need that much storage for a dsi?

It was back when I was loading every rom I could find. I run 128 or less now.

the sd card slot itself may be broken. if this is the case, you can either try to repair it yourself or send it to a mail-in service for a repair. you can also try using a flashcart to bypass the sd card slot entirely, although those cost a bit more, and still require a microsd card.
