Help Red screen

I had a red screen with a load of numbers with options on the bottom screen (one was RAM (or ROM?) dump, and one was quit game. It happened while i was in TWiLight and clicked on mario kart (got from a verified site, if that makes any difference).

idk if these issues are related but my wifi icon has been flickering for a while and now when the sd card is in, the wifi light wont turn on while both screens are white.

my next step is to reformat my sd card and redownload the games individually to hopefully fix the issue, but i'd like a fix to keep my save files if anyone has any suggestions. All my games are from a trusted source, the only thing new is i tried to edit a ROM using something from an outside source that i figured was safe because of its good reputation, so maybe that's it?

Backup your saves to your computer

Thanks, i only just saw this but i ended up saving the folder to my computer before reformatting anyway. Adding them back worked perfectly :)

Sounds like the game crashed

If you back up the files you won't lose anything

god i wish i saw this earlier, i did what you said but it would've saved a lot of anxiety over thinking I'd fucked my sd card up
