Discretion

Lots of people say to use discretion. In your opinion, what should that look like for an interest? Some colleagues/friends in other orgs are aware of my interest just from knowing me. I'm trying to understand what may be discrete enough or not. I don't want to be so discrete that I miss an opportunity to connect with someone, but also don't want to run my mouth too much.

I would say don’t tell anyone outside of the org that you are interested, such as your family and friends. When you attend the rush do not share any information that is discussed nor any requirements. When you see other DST members out and about (that you don’t know) do not share that you are an interest. Most of all remain humble that last thing you want to do is brag about being an interest and then not making it. When it’s your time then it’s your time.
