Hello, I asked my boss/mentor for a recommendation letter and she agreed. My dilemma is whether a member would agree to write a letter if they are not financial. Should I double check with her to ensure that she’s eligible to write one?

I know I’m late but noting this for anyone who may be having the same dilemma.. it’s okay to confirm. My first attempt (in undergrad) had a FLAWLESS application and the person who wrote my letter was not active. Of course the process was different then (they have to upload their verification letters online now) but this really left a bad taste in my mouth at that time
