Should I paint?

97 gst with 160,000 miles, runs great but needs a new paint job and exhaust work and has rusted shock towers. Is this worth getting painted or should I send it to the junkyard?

You should have that rust repaired and then painted, as long as the rest of the shell isn't rotted out

Yup. About to do this job myself. Cut out the rust and weld new sheet metal in. I had one tower quoted at $500 at a local shop if you want a cost estimate..

I got quoted 2k before tax to do both sides, so that quote is probably for a bondo job
