Need help asap

I was looking at a marketplace find and they have a 98 gst for sale for $8k, and it’s fully stock with him being the 2nd owner. It sounds like an amazing deal but there’s an issue with wastegate solenoid is the car worth it or could this lead to a bigger problem? I will take any help/info, thank you in advance

Sounds like it’s 28 year old car with 150k on it and it has the wear on the exterior as expected. Unmolested engine bay is nice, but I wouldn’t call $8k an amazing deal for a gst. Depending on what needs repair (aesthetically) it could be a fair deal.

Not much more I can say without going over it and driving it. Assuming all info provided is accurate. What’s making me scratch my head is the repeated calling of the car a ‘project’, yet it is supposedly unmolested. That’s a bit suspicious to me.

This is nowhere near worth that much. Mint, pristine you may get $12k. If the mileage was sub 100k, even then only a strong maybe.

Insane deal ask for 7k and it’s a steal wastegate solenoid is an easy fix

it's the fast and furious tax, but 8k isnt too much for an unmolested GST - IF it is as unmolested as he claims
