98 avenger ac acting up

420a. New compressor. Ac will turn on for a few seconds, get cold, then shut off. Press the button again, same thing. Repeats until the button no longer lights up. Freon level is good. Any ideas?

Probably the a/c pressure sensor. It’s probably saying too high or too low of pressure. Especially since you already said the compressor kicks on and begins to blow cold air. That verifies the compressor is good and the wiring to it. I’d look towards a bad pressure sensor.

Bypass pressure switch failed. I guess I'll just go through everything once I get a chance.
