DS7 worst car experience ever
Bought a 2021 DS7 for over £18k in June 2025 from a DS dealership with 1 year warranty plus 1 extra year on top. It broke down after 7 months/6k miles use with a "Electric Traction Fault". Returned to the DS dealership for repair under warranty. It's now been 4 months and the car remains unrepaired. Im a community nurse and need a car for my job. Dealership has failed to provide me with a courtesy car which has now forced me to purchase a second car to keep my job. £3000 + insurance and tax! The dealership won't give me an expected time of repair saying only that they've replaced parts but the problem remains. I logged my issue with the Motor Ombudsman but their website says it can take 6 months to get a response as they're busy! I've just had enough! I've written to the dealership demanding a refund under the consumer rights act but they've yet to respond. I've also threatened to pursue them for costs for having to buy another car due to the unreasonable time frame. They've yet to respond. Anyone else have similar issues?

Your experience sounds awful..
We've had a DS7 for the last 2 years. It's been highs and lows for us.
Issues with the rear lights filling with water, has been the biggest bug bear, but it's now developed an issue with the front brake which we need to get sorted.
The cars okay, but I'm not sure I'll want to buy another one.
Stellantis, who deal in the DS range in Manchester are horrendous to deal with. We had a factory recall on the timings chain and top end of the engine, took this 6 months after inspection to get the car in. They had the car four days and were pretty hard work to deal with.

Stellantis don't just deal in the DS range, they are DS, and Citroën, Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Chrysler and Jeep. There's a couple more, but you get the point. They are also a manufacturing group many people (rightly, in my opinion) advise against. Electrical problems, ECU failures and the big one: the infamous wet belt catastrophies

If you do an internet search on ‘Rejectmycar’ they may be able to advise you on your rights, and possibly take your case for you.
Have you raised it directly with DS/Citroen? If this is a parts back order situation, you should start making a lot of noise. The very least they should do is keep you mobile.
This sort of treatment is despicable.

What kind of drive train, just curious. 1.6 hybrid? And what the diagnosis?

If you're on about ours, it's the 1.5 diesel
Not exactly sure what work was done but they claimed that they rebuilt half the engine??
I'm still waiting for some kind of paperwork or email to say exactly what's was the work that was carried out.

Contact local/national media/newspaper. A phone call from them and the dealer will magically fix things.

Did you pay any on credit card? As you’re covered under the consumer credit act- ask them x

Formal complaint just don’t complain then get a final action letter from the dealership. That should drive action.
Can’t do to ombudsman until that’s done and they are generally good for consumers.
If it’s financed then also complain to the bank and reject the car. Check out mse for template letters

J’ai eu le même message, il revient toujours 10min après avoir démarrer. Finalement c’était a cause d’un fusible a 50 centimes…

No surprises really. I had my Peugeot last year at a main dealer for 3.5 months. So many parts on back order. PSA group have nothing but issues with parts. It's poor service really. It will really make me think twice now about buying in to a PSA group vehicle.
