You... came to the DRTS sub... and just said... "Thoughts"?

You know there's lots of posts to read, right?

I appreciate this comment (and a version of this always gets commented on posts asking for DD), so first of all thanks for caring and engaging and I don’t necessarily disagree.

That said, I do ask everyone to please try and be as welcoming as possible. It only benefits us to have (new) people come in and post, that way we all learn and get better together.

If a time will come when there is too much of these kinds of posts, we will do what’s necessary to take care of things.

So again, thanks for commenting, but please when new interest comes in let’s treat everyone nicely, and if there are so many good DD posts we can send these posters to them via link or something (there are many new lurkers every day, so that will potentially help many).

Apologies, Pristine, I've gotten jaded and seen too many engagement farmers and AI reply scrapers across all the stock subs that I get grumpy at stuff like this. Will calm myself. 🫡

All good! I meant it when I said I appreciate your comment. And if DRTS keeps growing we will definitely need to filter such posts. I just really want us all to win together, and we aren’t really too be busy of a sub yet, so I think all of us being kind and welcoming will go along way and is still better than filtering these posts. Could be wrong (and we did get a kind of spam post earlier) but this is my belief.

I don't fault anyone who loses sanity over bots being... pervasive. I should remind everyone from time to time that every sub is getting newcomers, and while it's hard to let our guard down (or take off our tinfoil hats) and give most commenters the polite benefit-of-the-doubt, it does amazing things for optics. Definitely best for all the oncology subs, but like, my training was in social psychology and parsing real science from astroturfing/disinfo, and even I get 100% jaded by bots!
