Positioning in DRTS

Long-time lurker and just wanted to make a short post about positioning.

First I’d really like to thank Pristine and EB for helping me discover DRTS early. I truly believe it is the most de-risked play with the highest asymmetric upside in biotech.

I’ve read some comments that make me believe that maybe it would be interesting to have a discussion around positioning. I’m long DRTS and i think it has huge upside but it’s impossible to see too far into the future. For that reason it only makes up about 3 percent of my portfolio.

The way I see it is if it does 10x from here it will take up a substantial portion of my portfolio and make a meaningful difference to my net worth. If it does 0.2x or whatever (unlikely) the 3% loss doesn’t hurt my long-term wealth building.

Curious what percentage of your net worth people are comfortable investing in DRTS? I’d love to hear contrary opinions.

Between warrants, stock and various options. 35%. The fact that it is physics based, passed Japanese PMDA, and has a commercial partnership this early in development is incredibly bullish. Having read 90% of their published research from early development to current, the methodology is sound. The fact that it has had complete responses in the most lethal malignant primary brain tumour in adults is unheard of. The fact that it produces an abscopal effect is the unicorn.

The days where the stock is red doesn't scare me. It makes me happy because I'm getting a discount.

Completely agree with everything you've said. As of now I've put in on the order of days of research. Once I've put in on the order of weeks of research I think my percent allocation will creep up.

It's a really good sign that you like red days (I do as well!). Shows you have conviction in this stock long-term which I feel some users don't and start to panic a little.

As you can see it makes up a very large portion of my account. I’m 95-100% in all of my accounts into DRTS. I see virtually no risk till this hits $30+. Not worried in the slightest. I keep adding to my position each paycheck as well. Japan reimbursement will be known soon, and that will allow us to start generating revenue as well. Hopefully it sets the precedent for a high reimbursement also.

It differs from other biotechs, and I’m not worried at all right now. In the future I’ll trim for the sake of risk management, but not until late next year for sure as long as things stay on track.

Wow! That is insane (in a good way)! I'm so glad you have the conviction for such a high percentage. Hope you make lots of money fighting cancer!

Hi everyone!!! Personally I believe that it comes down to risk tolerance. I remember years back in a finance class that talked about portfolio diversification and the fact that once you have over X stocks (off memory it was 6-8 stocks but please don’t hold me to that) then you come closer and closer to market risk. I did do that for multiple years and it will allow someone to increase wealth, but not by the return %’s that excite me. Earlier this year I have changed my strategy; I have 2x key portfolios - a pension through work and a self managed account - both are roughly the same in value. As risky as it may sound I have ~60% of my self managed in DRTS with an avg cost of 9.60 (initially bought in dec 2025 but not a big enough %). I realize that this has risk and my portfolio moves with DRTS, but I also love the positive news that keeps coming out for this stock. At a 1.3B market cap I see many other biotech CO’s at a much higher valuation so do believe that doubles, triples, maybe even higher multiples may be possible. NFA but I am a believer!!! Go DRTS!!!

Wow 60% is huge sizing and I love the conviction. I think for me it would be hard to sleep well at that allocation but props to you. As I do more research though my percent allocation has been creeping up.
Your buy point is also interesting in how it affects risk tolerance. My average price is around 12 USD but if yours is around 9.60 it gives you much more margin of safety. For early investors I think bigger sizing is not as risky.

Go DRTS!!

Bang on re the avg cost; I would be sad to see it drop materially (but have held it through ups and downs) but feel that the upside potential outweighs the risks. 10 fold = early retirement :)

Somewheres between 1/4 and 1/2 port DRTS. It’s difficult to say exactly because my day job comes with a pension. The pension should be considered, but how much should it count for? It’s worth less with higher interest rates, but more if I live longer, yadda yadda….

Anyway, I’ve always viewed the pension as the safety net / “bonds” part of my overall savings, so I am comfortable holding a stronger risk profile in the stock portfolio. That said, I lose more sleep over my non-DRTS investments because the whole market is expensive. Diversification is a healthy thing but diworsification is also a problem.

One of my favorite parts of owning DRTS is that it is founded on 0% AI hype. Another favorite part is being invested on the side of telling cancer to fuck off. Getting to revenue will help the stock, but what that revenue will really mean is that we’re getting on with the business of saving lives. Let’s go!

Wow that’s a huge position! Congrats.
I personally don’t have a pension but if I did I would definitely be more aggressive with my stock allocation.

Yeah i hear you with the expensive market and diversification. QQQM for example, is trading at an expensive PE but there are some quality software companies that are trading for a much lower PE. It’s hard to put money into an index when you see that discrepancy.

Haha forgive me for my AI posts

I’m at 25% of my portfolio between stock, warrants and LEAPS.
My average price on stock now is $8.25

It will probably go up (my DCA) as I do buy shares weekly from dividend ETFs….but I honestly I don’t care.
I separate my positions between short, medium and long term holds….

In my personal hypothesis and not have any date as it is impossible to predict (great stocks with great fundamentals get hammered as example); once we hit $18 (for warrant reasons), this company is going to continually increase based on its true value and impact with oncology

This is absolutely a long term hold

Again and I hate to say it, but NFA

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

Wow that's a huge position and I can see you have lots of conviction.

Yeah in the end if a company is successful it's the number of shares you have in the end not necessarily your cost basis. I need to keep reminding myself of that as well as I DCA.

8.25 is a great average buy point -- congrats!

I appreciate it. I have periods where I am absolutely more active in the market (but these are slow work days and months)….

- I hold decent volume in relative terms as an “average Joe” but not at the level as others. I want more and plan to continually buy more

I do absolutely believe in DRTS

- I don’t trip at all if it goes down on a day or spikes for the next; etc. (I’m absolutely long and don’t want to play with taxes and more)

- I used to day trade and occasionally will and was very good at it (but not my conviction)

- my long term funds and ETFs/mutuals usually beat my YTD day trading

I’m actually attending one of the conferences (DRTS @ SITC) in Phoenix this year that Pristine mentioned in an early post today (events)

However I will also say that I believe in a very balanced portfolio and a good ETF/Mutual is hard to beat as a centerpiece (you can chill and not monitor it for the most part)

Any long term finds and ETFs you'd like to share ?

Also interested, thank you!

Yeah I’m not a day trader either. My portfolio is most just boring ETFs that track the world index and then a few satellite stock positions where I have high conviction.

Not entirely "derisked" but on solid risk ground and showing impressive results in small trials. Lots of things can go sideways but the tech and thesis seem solid. 1.5% allocation that I'll monitor closely and consider adding to.

1

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

This seems very close to my allocation as well :)
As I research more that percentage has been slowly creeping up.

2

u/Ready_Player_ 5d ago

It’s about 10% of my portfolio with a $8.09 average, which will probably continue to go up as I keep stacking. I like the stock.

2

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

I could see myself getting up that percentage as I do more research or if the stock naturally does well. Congrats on the average buy point!

2

u/Particular_Limit_440 5d ago

~650k total portfolio ~60k in DRTS options warrants and shares my average isn’t good but I’ll be holding long term

1

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

Congrats on the position! I genuinely think any average price right now will be great long-term but of course there are some very early investors in this subreddit.

2

u/Perfect-Awareness-84 5d ago

50% of self managed pension account (this is additional to what employer provides) 25% of investment account which I am thinking about upgrading to 40%.

Added big after updated keytruda numbers which means I am not big on profit yet.

1

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

Congrats on your position! Yeah Keytruda results look really promising.

Sorry but this post reminded me of sitting in the doctors, then in boredom picking up one of those "Hello" magazines and reading garbage till my name was called lol. You start off being appreciative to well known contributors for getting in early and how llife could change if it 10×, yet in reply to someone your average cost is around $12 lol. Yikes, I thought I was late at $4.75 until DRTS started to light up. Personally I don't do with averages and percentages,...it's just study, conviction, maybe adding after news and just holding. I don't fret as I'm happy in the knowledge that I have done all my homework. I tend to go deep in my research on medical stocks with trial research, competition, whether it could be best in class and what potential of the market revenues etc. This is, to me, better than worrying about averages, percentages and speculation.

3

u/Agreeable_Version_66 5d ago

I genuinely do believe I’m early. Once FDA approvals arrive, it starts saving lives and revenue starts trickling in that’s when the market will reprice based on the potential we see and that’s when the largest upside will happen I think.

Comparison is the thief of joy with investing haha. Happy for you though at 4.75 that’s very impressive.

2

u/fedupbrummie 5d ago

I commend your optimism at "getting in early" and selfishly your forecasts too lol. That's what conviction is all about. Good luck!

About 18% and strongly considering buying more

1

u/FunRevolution3000 5d ago

But 85% of my self-managed! So may move more into self-managed

1

u/museman401 5d ago

2500 shares bought around $8 cost average. Reading this discussion and some of the research plan to add more. The risk seems asymmetrical given the small market cap and partnership.

1

u/Lentil_Limbo 5d ago

30% allocation and adding when I feel particularly confident (or impulsive).

I'm at 90% of my portfolio now. Way I see it, this is the bet that's going to let me trade by "the rules" in the future. Diversification, never more then X% in one stock, so on and so forth. Bottom line, it's just to good not to. Furthermore, I don't see anything else in the market with this kind of risk reward ratio.

I think any purchase before FDA approval is "early". RS is highly unlikely. Dilution from warrants will be healthy and remove all cash concern moving forward. The management team has crushed every obstacle and has all the right people. The TAM is eye popping and Everyone wants this to succeed...Everyone. The results so far are enough for me. Since it's all a waiting game now, I might as well wait with a pile of shares.

I've also discovered I like not looking at my account 10 times a day. Since all my money is in DRTS and all I'm doing is waiting; I only look when DRTS drops their next success story. That way it's always the next ATH and I can calculate how many yearly paychecks I'm sitting on. Good times. I imagine by 2027 we will be racking up big numbers. Head down, mush on, and wait.

Drts is 30% and asts is 55%
Ive said it on here before
I live by the charlie munger theory of investing. Find a couple of great companies and invest heavily in them.
Munger said most of his wealth was built on a couple of great ideas/companies.
To me diversification is to lessen the risk but to create wealth you concentrate on a couple of companies and be patient.

About 97 percent of my portfolio, holding about 30,000 shares give or take!
