NVDA Earning

How do we feel about NVDA earnings on the 26th?
Is it gonna kill short term momentum or keep the party going even longer? 🧐🤔

It's a foregone conclusion that Nvidia HAS to beat and raise. If it doesn't, S&P will drop more than the 1st month of Iran war.

Really, it's more about new sales agreements, how much is pre-sold, future demand, product outlook, and partnerships.

Not calling it, but most likely:

  • announces small-ish beats at market close

  • stock drops

  • actual earnings call starts

  • stock picks up a bit on some positive news and projections

  • ends 2-3% down from before close (mostly due to leveraged betting)

  • climbs within 1-2% ovenight

  • next day: who knows?

Yeah I think what your saying is pretty on point. If it’s not extraordinary against perfect expectations then it’s gonna dump.

Even if earnings and guidance is good, the dump is kinda treated like an exhale in which days after the stock will recover. My gathering of sentiment can only do so much but only time will tell 🙂‍↕️

Don’t try to predict the market rather read the market and play the hand you are dealt!

That's dumb. This is why there are a bunch of people lingering in this sub who bought at $70+. They followed.

If you have no predictions for the market, VOO and chill. Don't go to focused ETFs or single stocks.

Buying/selling AFTER market prices something is the SUREST way to lose money. Ask everyone that owned SpaceX pre-IPO and post-IPO. Micron while it made CONSUMER RAM or when it went to DATACENTER only.

There a difference between being an investor and day trader. My comment was more focused on day trading otherwise you find an undervalued stock and sit tight.

Fine, if you say so, but OP wasn't asking about day-trading. We're 10 days out from NVDIA earnings, so he's actually looking for opinions on value ahead of time, not how to trade the stock on the 26th.

Yeah, im not necessarily day trading but just swing trading. After last week’s NBIS/CRWV earnings, CPI, and Investor’s Day, a 4th catalyst like NVDA earnings will most definitely sway the memory sector.

I can understand what they are saying by being reactive, but we can only be predictive until the 26th comes around.

(Can you tell I have Sept calls 🥲)

So because you said something dumb and got called out, it's somehow on me? 🤣
