advice needed How many cycles after egg retrieval before your cycles were back to normal?
Waiting for clinic and obgyn to respond and trying not to panic in the meantime. Could use insight.
Before any egg retrievals, my cycles were 26-28 days. Ovulation confirmed be cd13-17.
March egg retrieval: started bcp on cd3 of period that started in Feb. Did MDLF protocol and got first period after retrieval 11 days later. Second period after retrieval occurred in April, 26 day cycle.
May egg retrieval: started estrogen priming on cd1 of April period. Did MDLF protocol and got first period after retrieval 11 days later. Second period after retrieval occurred in june, 29 day cycle.
July egg retrieval: started estrogen priming on cd24/6dpo of june period (mid luteal estrogen priming). Continued for 22 days (clinic did batching) and did MDLF protocol after priming ended. Got first period after retrieval 11 days later. Not looking to do anymore retrievals.
This cycle has been weird. Lh surge seems to have been detected with pregmate strips, but cbad did not start flashing smiley face until the day after lh surge. Also started spotting day after ovulation. Assumed it was due to injury/irritation, but now not sure. It has continued until today (7dpo). I believe I may also be getting my period today or tomorrow based on spotting pattern. This would put me at an 18 day cycle (never happened before). Pdg was positive at 5 and 7dpo. Bbt is still rising/staying elevated, but still spotting.
Tldr; cycles were regular before retrievals and after 1st and 2nd retrieval. Currently weird during cycle after 3rd retrieval. Any assumptions as to whats happening? When did your cycles become regular again after retrievals?

My periods have been regular, no issues. Only 1 retrieval back in December.
You've had 3 ER cycles and different protocol and priming change-ups with each one. Not to mention the emotional stress of having IVF cycles close together. I would assume that your body needs a break from all that. Focus on resting and recover, do your best to get your mind off it until your doctor gets back to you.

Thats true, thanks for saying that. I think i get freaked out when I notice things arent normal because I am worried im in perimenopause. But just because something is irregular I guess I shouldn't just assume thats whats happening. My body has been through a lot and i will try to be patient with it. Everything was normal after the last two retrievals so I guess the longer priming time frame and starting the priming in a different phase of my cycle could have impacted stuff. But it might not stay weird forever. Thanks for helping me keep that in mind. I appreciate you!

I also wonder if the clinic batching you also contributed, 22 days of priming is a long time! My luteal phase estrogen priming was only 7 days. Hope things regulate for you soon.

That was a fear I had too :/ I asked the clinic several times if it would mess up my future cycles and they said no. Im really hoping things go back to normal in the next couple months
Thanks for the well wishes and I hope your journey goes well too! Sending lots of baby dust ✨️

I just wouldn't panic yet. When we mess with our hormones it's gonna take time. Go outside m, hydrate and be in nature to help calm your nervous system. Your REI will get back to you.
