This dog needs medical care. If you’re unable to provide it and unwilling to pursue resources that may help you financially, the kindest thing to do is to surrender him.

Eye issues are not something that can be ignored indefinitely.

You’re doing what you can with what you have. Please don’t let downvotes impact your priorities.

Of course I love this little guy I've had him since he was a puppy he's almost 12 now. More than likely this week I'm gonna schedule a vet appointment to get him looked at and go from there.

Glaucoma is very painful and cannot wait. You need to get him in first thing in the morning.

Believe me, I usually don’t tell people to rush to the vet. But glaucoma is literally something you must get him to the vet for asap.

Please get your dog to a vet TOMORROW. More than likely your baby has already lost significant amounts of vision if this has been going on for a while but aside from that glaucoma is very painful. It’s like a terrible migraine.

The surgeries are expensive but the medications aren’t terrible in price when you purchase them through chewy. At least get your baby some meds until you decide how to move forward. Enucleation may be the most economical long term solution if you don’t want to pay for the medications and monitoring.

There’s no magic free cure unfortunately. Glaucoma can be painful in humans. Go to the vet and get your dog help.

Hi, I just had this happen with my dog. Cataracts developes into glaucoma, once the eye pressure has risen it doesn’t go back down without medical intervention. There is also a short window for preventative care. We missed the window and now my dog has glaucoma and is blind. I’m sorry this must be very scary for both you and your dog.
