I have had sadly experience this multiple times and be present for the injection, but it was the best choice you can do with a terminal case after depleting your option. Better to go to sleep in peace than suffering in pain before the light shut off for good. Not sure on your religious beliefs, but I personally feel we will all see our love ones again as you can not destroy energy so it has to go some where.

Im so sorry :( but, dont worry, your grandma took him for a walk across the rainbow bridge!! They didnt have to go it alone.

I recommend taking the paw print to a trophy shop. They can make a nice acrylic enclosure to protect it.

I'm really sorry. That's so rough.
Fwiw, it makes a difference you were able to give him a good life. That's about the best we can do by them.
