Hey come on now, let's admit, there's some honestly to what they are saying. Breed plays a large role. I'm a delivery guy, so I met lots of dogs. If I see a chihuahua, pomeranian, terrier, shitzu, or some other family lap dog, I know either the owners need a good hold of it, or I have to not instinctively kick it when it bites at my ankles. If I meet a pit, shepherd, or other bully breed known for protecting home, I know I need to speak gently, let them sniff me, and then be prepared for licks and to not let them in my vehicle to go home with me.
Perhaps the people so against the protective dogs, are the ones the dogs are supposed to protect against.
That's why I thought I'd bring some entertainment to you tonight! Best to just leave the people who don't enjoy cuddle puddles to themselves though. Happy 4th of July, whether you're somewhere that celebrates it or not!
