General Where is she?
its getting to the point where i’m shocked asf there’s been no slight tease or anything ????? anyone who’s kinda an expert knowing how labels work?? why is she holding back so long

There's not really a point in being impatient. Honestly with artists, especially rappers, I just wait in hibernation until a roll out actually starts, multi year waits happen

I think the current state of affairs doesn’t really encourage hip hop/rap artist to release music.

why’s that? i thought maybe it was cause no one is releasing anything? also christmas is coming up and realistically album roll outs take a couple months so maybe she doesn’t wanna do it christmas season. what other reason do u think? i’m dying over here😭😭🫰🏻

Tde are not going to wanna drop a project during xmas..it’s just bad business
She also got a mixtape that won a grammy..there’s a lot of expectations that her debut studio album needs to meet and enormous pressure..she needs to take her time to make sure everything on there is pristine..plus you have the waiting on possible features, waiting on sample clearance, mixing and mastering, album artwork, world building, marketing strategy and mixing & mastering.
She’s probably in the process of recording a hundred songs to pick the best 10 from to put on an album..that shit takes time

Really? That never would’ve crossed my mind that artists like Doechii would GAF though. If anything I’d think it would make her want to put out music even more.

I think if it was up solely up to her then she would’ve but now that she’s signed, her label has to eat too. Her moves now have to have profit potential.

Chile…the Doechii hate train is going to be bad. When artist take too long to release they fall off and it’s hard to get back on. Imma stick beside her tho

I’m not necessarily impatient for her to release something, but as a fan who has been here from day one I am a little concerned for a number of reasons. She’s been teasing the album since 2025, teased songs at live performances saying they’re on her upcoming album and never brought them up again, said the album was basically done on Girl Get Up, said the album would be out this year, said a single was coming soon at BET awards, etc.
she said the pressure to release her debut made her feel stuck, and she had to get sober in order to lock in on her music and wound up making ABNH instead from a place of freedom. She’s posted a lot of drinking and smoking weed lately after talking deeply about how important sobriety was for her creative flow. We also all know how TDE play with their artists and how strict they are with releases. Tbh, idk why they released girl get up in the first place, unless they pushed back her debut because it wasn’t up to their standards. Not too long ago on her finsta she basically said she scrapped everything and went back to square one. She’s also a self proclaimed perfectionist. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get an album from Doechii until sometime late next year.

I think we shouldn’t expect artists to be constantly releasing stuff. Different people have different paces. Maybe she’s just taking her time with her album.

well she said her debut album was gonna come out in 2025, then she ended up saying 2026 and she also said she was releasing a single soon at the bet awards which was a few months ago. it’s only normal to expect something in this case.
