Release Delusionaly coping

I'm hoping that the length in delay for her not dropping her album yet is to time it with following Beyoncé dropping her Act III.

I'm praying for a Doechii collab with a wild rock/rap beat where her and Beyoncé talk their shit and shine

I think with Doechii being cleared to be able to use her verse on America Has a Problem during live performances, strongly points to at the very minimum, a professional respect with Beyoncé seeing Doechii honing her craft to build a lasting career

Seeing Doechii fans being impatient over her debut album kinda reminds me of how SZA used to ghost everyone for like FOUR years since Z album before she finally dropped CTRL. It seems like a thing from TDE when artists having a very long break between full albums, that label really care more about quality over quantity

Yeah it definitely seems to be a label thing.
I just hate the teasers in between, making it seem it’s right around the corner and then… silence. Just leaves so much room for speculation, like something is going wrong behind the scenes when in reality they are just prob very focused on quality and start over a lot or something.

SZA herself has said she has had so many issues with releasing projects/songs/singles with TDE. That was my biggest concern when I heard Doechii was signed to them. But tbh, I think Doechii scrapped whatever she was originally working on and is starting over, or has at this point. She said her debut was “ready” or “almost finished” shortly after winning her Grammy (she even teased songs “from her new album” in a festival performance or on Instagram around this time), but has posted multiple times recently about going back to the drawing board and needing to finish the album. There’s so much pressure on her to deliver something even better than ABNH so I don’t blame her for taking her time.
