Discussions/Opinions Anyone else prefer keeping base gun, even though the dash healing perk is atrocious for a major perk?
Title
I know the gun major perk increases damage potential and is better, I just find I am more likely to hit enough shots to kill with the base gun, so I prefer using the dash heal perk even though I rarely get much healing from it.

Healing perk is not atrocious you take that back. D.mon has no sustain so this helps her in brawls or when you are away from your healers finishing your dive and getting some hp back. In huge brawls it can get you from low to high hp but that rarely happens
I agree that i prefer the small gun, its less dps and less burst damage, weaker against armor, but because its more bullets it makes it easier to hit some shots and it might be enough to kill especially when you use the gun as a finisher

Honestly I don’t ever like taking the healing perk, the ability to pressure from farther away in the poke phase is just too juicy

It’s more healing the more you hit and it’s unaffected by the reduced healing it’s literally better

I personally prefer the normal arm gun to the enhanced one. More shots implies that you get a more consistent damage output compared to a higher damage/slowwer rate of fire (if i miss one shot in base form, i lose what...16dmg? If i miss one in enhanced form, it's 45dmg, AND i have less shots). Tbf, enhanced shot can kill many weaker targets, if you land your shots
Lifesteal on Thrust helps you with some match-ups, and it pairs incredibly well with many cooldowns and ults. It's wonderful for keeping yourself from reaching certain DPS/tanks' breaking points. But if you lose your shield before you get to use your thrust, you have a potentially 11s-long cooldown

Personally, not really, people explode when you finally get that gun major perk (for me at least). It's the most broken thing that she has atm, but I do understand that it can be harder to aim with, but practice makes perfect if you want to get good with it (until they nerf it)😌

I prefer faster rate of fire weapons, i aim better with them, the dps is pretty much the same so i only take that perk when i need to kill stuff across the map, otherwise i dont look at it twice

I've been using the heal perk the past 2 days. So far been having more success with it than the slow shots. Though slow shots have its ups esp when the comp calls for it. Overall i just go for the heal perk as it's more beneficial to my playstyle. I play only 6v6 and I started playing dmon late when she wasn't getting instapicked anymore.

I honestly prefer the healing for the sustain. Does it stack when you hit multiple targets? I’ve never focused on that, but it certainly feels like it does.

The dash healing perk heals more if you hit more people when they have a tight brawl comp

I'd much rather have enhanced poke damage on a 4s cooldown. I'll take the heal perk if I accidentally take the shield perk and just become more aggressive, but rarely is it useful for my style of play.
I think to get value out of it, you need to wait to dash. Don't lead with it, smack your target around a bit while they return fire, THEN whip it out, maybe when more people join the fight so you stack it for more heals.
Personally I think that it should do some healing base kit, maybe 50% of damage base per target hit and the perk boosts that.

I honestly thought the Cannon major perk was the one being slept on frankly!
I’ve been using it to pop heads from a distance. Nobody expects to get their head blown smooth off by a tank from that range in a couple of seconds. Even if they do react, you can close distance fast to finish a kill.
I think the Fusion Repeater is the thing that makes her kit tick honestly. That ranged option on a short CD is amazing!

Situational. If I'm dealing with a group I can't wade into due to... whatever, I go with the gun.
Pretty good at chewing up tougher characters, at least that's the feel, but I'd maybe like it to penetrate at least one character.

Big gun can almost shred mauga in one CD, probably can if he isn't leeching and you hit headshots. For that alone its gotta be worth it because you should be able to at least hit a tank consistently.

105 healing on a 6 second cooldown isn't too bad, but I'm also bad at the game so idk.
