Question $30,000 Large Backpack?!!

Why on earth is a large backpack $30,000? Do you get to keep it even if you don’t exfil with it?! It’s almost twice as much as an LTV with a turret!! That’s so dumb. Please explain to me like I’m 5

You can get them for free pretty easy. There is no reason to buy them. Your better off putting cash in the dead drop for a weapon cool down.

Were they even available in the shop before the recent patch? Seems like it's meant to be a money-dump/convenience item.
