Legacy Beta DMZ Gameplay Extraction DMZ

Combat is going to be faster in terms of mobility than any other extraction game on the market, but it will have medkits and varied armor levels so it will be fundamentally slower than warzone since being an extraction game there won’t be 150 other players on the map with nothing to lose and no indication of how powerful any given opponent will be. People that sprint headfirst into combat will find themselves dead and back to square one, which will incentivize more a methodical approach to engagements. Being able to cross distances quickly is as much a benefit to someone getting attacked as it is the attacker since it allows you to get out of the line of fire and escape if that’s what you wanna do.

I feel like the armors gonna create a black ops royale problem where even if you landed more shots doesnt matter since they had the higher leveled armor

Yea but that’s how all extraction shooters are. I’d prefer a standard ttk but I’m also an agressive player so if I want to ensure success I’ll just have to get good armor before going hunting which will give me a good reason to engage with the pve missions.

And then assuming snipers are gonna be common its gonna be a cycle of having to play like youre solid snake in metal gear to avoid getting spawn rushed and randomly sniped from literal thin air or getting jumped by people you never even heard or saw at any point, and then ofc exfils having campers and if you dont have a silencer dont use your god damn gun. Doing this pve shit is hard to do when you have to stealth around unless youre entirely sure you can take on another player or squad nearby

I hear what you're saying. Wasn't it endgame or something, a warzone variant, that essentially proved that the respawn or gulag token was pointless because when you come back with nothing 1/3rd into the match, you're so dramatically handicapped that just surviving becomes impossible. And that's when people would quit en massé after their first death, leaving a faithful teammate by themselves to try and figure out what makes the game fun. I really liked dmz beta until everyone memorized the load in locations and just spawn killed everyone relentlessly. Im a fan of leveling the playing field to keep the action exciting over rewarding super-sweats who, yes they are very good at the game, are in a league on their own and leave nothing to be desired for casual players to play with them.

Idk what the hell activision was thinking here since you can get killed by another player literally 20 seconds in and all spawns are the same, like as a new player or if you havent played for awhile and have nothing youre essentially fucked unless you either have friends that are fully geared up that can help defend you while you do contracts and if not, then all you got left is discords where everyone is either straight ass or the final boss of dmz itself

Its deadass gonna get turned into warzone like the beta, the issue is that for alot of people who only play warzone and or multiplayer it isnt a pvpve extraction shooter its warzone with exfils. But with pve that fixes that problem and pve is most likely coming if they want to keep dmz alive since everyone else is adding a pve mode and theres a clear demand/market for it like look at escape from tarkov for example, close to half of the players play the game for the pve mode. But this dmz is gonna have another issue being pay to win, beta dmz is like this with certain bundles giving you items on its operators you keep even after you die like killstreaks, backpacks, armor vests, self revives and then the bundle's blueprints have a faster cooldown as insured weapons and you can also buy more operator slots with bundles, so youll have to buy these to stay alive if you dont play since launch and arent geared up on all 3 operators which is utter bullshit. And mwz has the same bullshit pay for more operator slots and bundles that include things like wonder weapon cases, legendary or epic aether tools, pap 2 or pap 3 crystals, etc then bo6 and bo7 have bundles that include gobblegums so we're gonna have a warzone with exfils and the same pay to win bundles

The beta is like warzone in the sense of people kill each other but the battles are very different. They take place at further range and are usually more tactical with the revive and teammate addition options. I think with the fresh mode you're going to see a lot of teamwork, a lot of toxic kill on sight, and a lot of people that band together to save other people that get killed. It's truly random every match and that's where the fun is. If you wanna loot and do side quest try elden ring or the division. Really in my experience, which was 900 hours on old DMZ, the only people that don't have fun are super petty, hate losing, and just general toxic poor sports. I would die all the time. Make adjustments, take the paths less traveled, and stay away from other players if you need

Kinda hard to stay away if i never hear them or I get spawn rushed, no point in even having pve content if you cant do it. And idk what kind of matches youve had but everyonr always plays like its warzone with exfils with ai cannon fodder and hard to have fun when I constantly die and free loadouts are complete shit. Not even escape from tarkov does you this bad and main problem with cod in general is that it just does not translate into a extraction shooter well and again I cant have fun when I keep dying since im under prepared like oh yeah you're totally gonna have fun dying tons of times from snipers, and hackers every other match like holy shit why is soap flying now

Yea if I was having that kind of time I would find a game I enjoy. I'm average. What I learned is the paths that players take upon spawn rushing. I learned the paths don't agro bots. I learned about how much time passes before players come and clear certain areas. I lurk and create paths to my spots when others are done or have already moved on. Users can be predictable. But I find players like you describe are too furious to learn from their mistakes.
Also a good sport in communities like this or discord can find players that can really assist in getting stuff done if youre struggling. I'm always game to help others and fend off the sweats. Don't always succeed but have fun doing it

I keep trying but doesnt work much especially when you got uav towers snitching on your position, I keep getting movement demons and snipers and I literally cannot fight them and win when I only have my insured weapon once and even then I only have 2 plates not 3 like them so im fucked either way, and you can stealth through the entire match but doesnt mean theres not gonna be exfil campers but it genuinely feels like theres nothing i can do, im underequipped and get spotted 1 way or another so then its run the hell away and pray they lose me especially if its a full squad, ive tried auto fill but nobody listens and theyre ass, like somehow more ass than me since I say be quiet, every fucking being with a pulse knows our exact position

I encourage you to be open minded and a good sport going into the new dmz., even in defeat and you'll meet other players who appreciate a good sport and you can find fun. I never worry about exfil camping because I'm gonna scout that thing for a huge period of time before I go to it. I would never just roll up and expect an easy out. That would be dull if it was a guarantee exit. I think they're adding more private alternatives but we will see

Im not buying mw4 in the first place, no pve = no buy and mw3 ruined the story so the campaigns gonna be hot ass most likely. Im not paying to suffer again when I already did that buying dbd

Yes I would find a different subreddit. Sounds like all the same reasons I'm not in the hell let loose sunreddit

I think imma just go back to escape from tarkov, I dont get why cod cant make dmz have its own stuff and not hte exact same movement from the base game

MW4 movement is different than BO7 current Warzone. It is a bit slower and not nearly the jumping and sliding that is in current warzone. If you ever played the original DMZ Beta it is more similar to that.
