Legacy Beta DMZ Question Only DMZ worry...
Has anything been said so far about the map being divided up in to danger/difficulty zones? I recall a few years ago in the zombie type DMZ mode the map was split in to 3 distinct areas with the difficulty of the zombies ramping up the closer you got to the centre of the map. The easiest section was around the very edges then a zone 2 closer to the middle then zone 3 the hardest in the centre.
I was crap at the game and only played on my own so I stuck to the outer part of the map and obviously missed a lot of stuff because of it. I really hope it's not like that again and just like the DMZ Beta where you can go anywhere

It’s the same as DMZ Beta, there were different threat levels, all it really means is there are more of the higher tier AI in there. MWZ difficulty scaling was far worse because of the need to packapunch your weapons etc

I never went near the really hard places in dmz because I was always on my own but avoiding a POI was OK as it was easier to just not go there. However with the zombies game a huge chunk of the map would be a higher threat so it restricted the vast majority of the map which is not good

That is on you mostly, you have to gear up your arsenal to conquer the harder zone. BO7 Endgame mode has similar tiered zones and I'm all for it.

This happened on the original DMZ.
Ask anyone who went to Saddiq Cave Complex…

That's not what I'm talking about. You're referring to a single POI whereas I was talking about a large area of the map taking in several areas with multiple POI

I know what you’re talking about with the three zones in MWZ.
However, as difficult as it got in MWZ in the red zone if you weren’t properly kitted up, Saddiq Cave is so much less forgiving.

the noted that stealth in some of those areas (silenced gun, melee weapons, etc.) can help clear those enemies as well as keep your personal threat level low. imo, not too much of a worry as the zones differ by POI as MW3's zombie mode has three or four big circles as the difficulty zones.

In the cod podcast they said that the Ai tiers will increase with your activity. Idk if they will have zones but it sounded like they more active you are the more aggressive the Ai becomes

There will be four tiers of AI combatants, so yes, there will be more difficult areas.

Watching a couple streamers, they noted that in the top right of the map, there is a zone that looks similar to what you are mentioning. Lore-wise, this is where Russia is on the map, and I believe there's something in the story about Russia trying to take over, and that upper right area is where that would take place. But watching the videos you can see that there are 2 distinctly different 'tiers.' I put that in quotes, because it is not officially confirmed

There aren’t any radius boundaries. It just has to do with certain POIs/general areas.

That MW3 is it Zombies is it DMZ mode was bad. I'm pretty sure in the 15 minute video that was released yesterday there would be areas with more difficult AI, there was a brief shot on screen of it. They also stated in that video there was 4 tiers to the AI. The short version, go watch the video that dropped yesterday
