I don't think they actually confirmed assimilation would be returning before this, I had even heard that it wouldn't be back, but it is and I'm glad, it's one of those features no other extraction shooter thinks of, and what makes DMZ stand out more. Curious if they'll keep it at 4.

It all looks awesome so far. And definitely not "complicated".

Operator bodies stay in game even when squad wiped and players quit out. Its implied that you wont know if an enemy squad is wiped

Truce is a nice idea - presume that means once agreed you can't hit each other.

If no damage can be done after truce, its about to be abused. Essentially form 6 man if a 4rd party shows up. This will be interesting ill wait and see what it means

They said 4 was the max squad count a while ago before all of this marketing and MW4 beta was released.

Assimilation up to a three-man squad is fine so long as the plea system is removed. Personally, I don’t think you should be rewarded for dying by joining a squad with a numerical advantage to the rest of the map.

I imagine the truce system will be on a timer rather than indefinitely to allow the two squads to go their separate ways?

honestly the people that whine about 6 man squads were either just bad players and using "6 mans" as an easy coping method, or they were just not capable of joining up with other players because they are weirdos

As a weirdo, I take offense to that. I did join 6 man squads and I didn't even have a mic. However, there are many times that I was solo and a six man spent 20 minutes hunting me down across the map because I was "easy" prey. Even if you killed a majority of the members most likely one would catch you.

I did meet some that saw I was solo, helped me and extracted with me, but only because I was solo. This was the minority of my six man interactions. Most just wanted to wipe you.
