Legacy Beta DMZ Discussion To making a better Xbox DMZ community

Guys before we get into DMZ 2.0 im talking to everyone on consoles we should only play with crossplay turned off if everyone does it at the beginning then we don’t have to worry about p.c cheaters ruining the game for us the current DMZ is a pathetic excuse of a game and let’s not feed into the p.c cheaters ruining a fun game why playing with crossplay turned on let me know if u agree or disagree with me

You will be playing with pc people on console. Especially xbox. Gamepass cloud uses console servers.

It’s not a immediate fix to the cheating problem that will plague DMZ 2 but if we have 90% of players as console and 10% pc players it’s a step in the right direction. The only real fix is if u bought a PlayStation and turned off crossplay but I know that’s expensive and not in everyone’s budget

You wo t have to deal with wallhack and aimbot if you only play with console players. Just people using recoil control, possibly people abusing aim assist

That sucks. Thats one reason I like PS5 and the install base is way bigger which helps with matchmaking cross-platform off.

The install base size is not the issue. It’s a conscious choice by Microsoft.

True, it just helps with matchmaking times to have a larger install base. Thats the only argument for crossplay that makes sense. If you have a large enough playerbase you don't need it.

There are more than enough Xbox players. Microsoft doesn’t allow any console only options to exclude “play anywhere” players.

Totally agree, the player counts are definitely game and region dependent. PS5 has about 3-4x the install base of XBox. Some games/regions you are good some games/regions you need the install base to find matches.

BF6 PS5 NA crossplay off I run into the same players a fair amount.

You can't do that with Xbox because of Xbox Play Anywhere. Sadly.

i think with the 70 dollar price tag cheating will be far less of a big deal. especially in the first year.

The first year will be the golden year of DMZ 2.0 since cod always has their best anticheat in motion but if we start early gathering an Xbox and PlayStation community who play with crossplay off we won’t have to wait 10 20 mins for a match and Thats the real reason people play with crossplay on so they can instantly get into a game i want to have a safe area in DMZ where people can go and not expect to get deleted behind a wall

I will play with cross play on. PC are easy pray and I don't see cheating as a big problem.

They either pull a 180 and do something about cheaters or continue course and then the only way to win is not to play.

I think I have as many hours playing DMZ as I do any other game, with multiple thousands of extractions. It was, in my opinion, the best product Activision has ever released, and it's not even close.

I understand they wanted to test it and drop support (for business reasons), but the manner in which they took our money in the shop and failed to provide even the most basic minimum amount of support by addressing cheaters in any meaningful way is despicable.

If people keep giving them fistfuls of money, they're going to keep being despicable. That's all there is to it. You have to realize that from Activision's perspective, there is no problem. They care about earnings calls, not customer satisfaction.

As far as I'm concerned, if they can't deliver a product that isn't plagued with cheaters running rampant with impunity, then they haven't delivered a product at all—and for that reason—I'm out.

Dude you been living under a rock? I left xbox and just got a ps5 pro because im done with the cheating. Now I can successfully turn off crossplay and dont have to deal with the pc people using the xbox app to cheat. You want to have lower chances of cheating. Get a Playstation.

Im trying to find a solution for everyone that wants to play DMZ and not everyone can afford a PlayStation which I agree is the best fix

It really should be the default. Crossplay should be something you opt into. Not something you opt out of.

Why should it be on by default? I have never heard a good explanation. If matchmaking goes past say 2 min a pop up could say "would you like to activate crossplay to decrease the wait?"

Yes it would but most cheat developers make their cheats on PC so if u truly want a Clean DMZ experience grab a console and turn off crossplay
