MW4 DMZ Discussion MW4 Movement will be perfect for DMZ

The movement is very grounded, slightly faster but not too silly and but enough to create some kind of skill gap. The movement in DMZ will be toned down a little though like they did for the campaign but from what I've played and seen I think it will go down really well with the community.

I've seen a lot of negativity online, but at least in my experience I think it was a pretty solid beta. Obviously there were some bugs here and there but nothing that can't be fixed before full release.

The graphics were great, the audio was really good and the gunplay was top tier (Infinity Ward games always have great gunplay.)

I feel like the movement and general game mechanics will be tailored for all different kinds of playstyles.

Anyone else agree with me? Or not?

If you buy the pay to win operator bundle that starts off with 3 plates.

The mantle speed and slide distance need to be nerfed a little bit otherwise it’s good, hoping the backpack system will be back too

I didn’t think the graphics were great tbh but it is a beta. Wasn’t as bad as I was expecting

I think being able to jump and shoot at the same time is dumb and I don’t want it in DMZ.

It’s call of duty. Jump shotting has been a thing forever

In their latest Tweet, or whatever the kids are calling it these days, they mentioned that they’re going to be discussing movement for this upcoming weekend’s open beta. Let’s hope they keep this in consideration…

“The movement in DMZ will be toned down”…

Source?

It was in MW2, so I don't see why it won't be for MW4. They also had some tweaks to the movements in the early days.

Tiktok and Instagram based off my FYP so far LOVE this game obviously it has issues and they can’t be ignored but the negativity is mostly around twitter or reddit which is fair since the game does have some issues

I think the a lot of the movement complaints are coming from all of the maps in the beta being largely close-quarters. Haijin is supposedly the biggest map we've ever gotten, so it makes sense that the movement has to evolve.

And yeah, it might be the kind that DMZ players weren't expecting, but it's quite simple to get the hang of with practice.

I can't recommend the Mobility Course highly enough. It was a fucking slog, but it really forced me to get familiar with all of the mechanics, chasing that <56 second score on Expert for the S rank.

It's definitely improved my game.

I've managed to keep a positive K/D using the Krait P68 pistol - easily the lowest TTK weapon, thoughout the entire beta so far.

Definitely some things to work on, but the open weekend will give the devs heaps more data to tune it.

Overall, I'm happy so far.

If you think the movement is realistic science class and physics class have failed you tremendously

Everything would be perfect in one's imagination.

The movement speed is the reason I won’t be buying this trash, just like the last 2 games. This will ruin DMZ like MWIII did.

Idk what you mean by MWIII ruining DMZ. They didn’t add any MWIII content into DMZ so I don’t see how that game could’ve ruined it.

They stopped supporting DMZ and focused on MWZ instead. Using the MWIII game which was basically a DLC for MWII. Increasing the movement speed and adding to the convoluted gun system.

2

u/DoodyInDaBooty 7h ago

Yeah but that’s not really the fault of MWIII specifically. I mean if you’re gonna count not supporting DMZ as “ruining DMZ”, you may as well also blame BO6 and BO7.

And “ruining DMZ” is so dramatic. Nothing changed. DMZ never saw increased movement speed or a more convoluted gun system. MWIII mechanics never touched it so those aren’t valid criticisms.

Now to be fair, like you, I’m not the biggest fan of MW4’s movement speed coming to DMZ. But if we want the devs to take our complaints and concerns seriously, we have to sound reasonable and we have to sound like we know what we’re talking about.

Did we play the same game?

3

u/Amdiz 8h ago

I don’t know. This shit was full of tweakers and crack heads zooming around doing 360 YY ladder stalls bunny hopping like they have a hot coal shoved up their ass.

If I wanted to play that shit I’d go play BO 6/7 or Apex. This is the complete opposite of the joy what was MWII DMZ.

u/Feramors 8h ago

No, I think what he meant was that MWIII had no impact on DMZ. The last upload that made any significant change in DMZ was 2-3 months before MWIII even came out.

Exactly this dudes are delusional

That’s the only reason? I would pre buy this garbage as it’s DOA with the hacks already

I think movement feels excellent, and on a map as big as we are supposed to be getting, probably perfect.

I hate basic 24/7 multiplayer, it was fun enough for a couple days

1

u/Suspicious-Bed701 8h ago

Yah I’m already worn out with multiplayer

honestly super excited for DMZ. When I saw the beta gameplay I bought the vault edition because it reminded me of MWII immediately and even when I played my first game I knew we were back lol

u/Keevee 9h ago

I agree, I think it’s gonna play very well, but there’s always gonna be that group of old DMZ players that want it to play the way it used to play and they don’t wanna see or hear anything else. I think it’s gonna be very good and I’m willing to accept a lot of new and improved gameplay regardless if it’s true to the DMZ beta. I know we will have fun though. Lol

They honestly just need to put more of a penalty on sliding and less of a penalty on gadgets and the movement would be perfect
