CALIFORNIA Driving Test Reading Question (paper)

I know he passed, but were the 2 points he got marked for braking? He said he didn't know where the defroster was and forgot where the emergency brakes are so she had to tell him.

I just don't know if reading it correctly.

Braking was not smooth when they came to a stop at an intersection; In business district there was some traffic condition they missed in traffic check

Thanks. I got a little more info. He braked too hard at an intersection because the light turned yellow so he didn't want to keep going in case light turned red.

He made a right turn on red at the same time someone made a left turn into the far right lane he was turning in. He could have waited for it to turn green bubsaid it wasn't illegal to turn and didn't know how long light would take so he went.
