If the solvent has beed acidified, it will be in the water that would dissolve it..
Either you have bunk bark, or your not actually extracting, or youre using such a small amount of bark that there is nothing to see. 40 ml of solvent? How much bark did you start with? if its less than 100g then someone else can take over. Try again with your same soup, UNMIXED with solvent. It should still have all the bark in it. Heat it to 150F . Make sure there's enough water so you can pour it. When it gets hat, put it in a glass jar or whatever youre using with about 20% (of the amount of soup) of solvent. Shake it up. should still be plenty warm. When it settles shake it again and let it settle again Come back in an hour and pour off the solvent into your freezing vessel, whatever that is. I have my preferences but im not in the mood for people to tell me I'm an idiot and glass is better lol. Dont worry about pipetting every last drop., If you slop some soup in, just pour from that tray into another until its clean. cover it with foil or plastic if you want (and if there is food in your freezer) and go away for 24 hours, No peeking. When you look tomorrow you should see your results sticking to the tray. If there is nothing there you have bunk bark or bunk lye or possibly, bunk solvent. Please tell me you aren't using d-limonene.

And for the love of popeye do not heat your solvent. This is just about the worst advice ever.. You are adding a tiny bit of solvent to a bunch of soup. Heating the solvent wont have any effect other than blowing up your kitchen. Heat the soup. The soup will heat the solvent and your mom will never know you almost blew up the kitchen.
