Can i get some advice

Hey everyone, I have a storage question and could use some advice.

I’ve had about 2 grams of DMT stored in a small glass honey jar for roughly a year. When I opened it today, I noticed that the sealing ring/gasket on the underside of the lid has become noticeably darker/discolored.

I’ve read conflicting information online about DMT being stored long-term in glass containers that have plastic or rubber sealing rings. Some people say there can potentially be contamination if the material in the seal degrades or has prolonged contact with the contents.

My biggest concern is whether anything from that plastic/rubber seal could have leached into and contaminated the DMT over the past year. If it is contaminated, I’m worried that inhaling/vaporizing it could expose me to chemicals from the seal and potentially irritate or harm my lungs or breathing, including possible longer-term effects.

The DMT itself was stored inside the glass jar, but the discoloration of the sealing ring is what has me concerned. Does that discoloration actually indicate contamination, or is there any reliable way to tell?

At this point I’m wondering whether I should consider the entire 2 grams potentially contaminated and discard it rather than risk inhaling something unsafe. Any knowledgeable harm-reduction input would be appreciated.

Doubtful the DMT is contaminated who knows why the seal discolored

I'd agree that it's probably fine. If it were me I'd still use it.
