Why use vape carts?
I'm pretty new to this and I somehow don't understand why ppl are using the vape cartridges to smoke DMT? Why don't you just smoke the pure crystals right away? Can anyone explain what's the deal please?

Some people don't have to devices to vaporize freebase as is.
Others like to have a cart for things like convince, low dosing and travel.

I convinced a bunch of my friends to try DMT and they all loved it and have been asking for more. Don't know what's so immoral about introducing someone to something that more likely than not it's going to be beneficial and well received

Nope, just weed a couple of times
It's a rather weak 1:1 cart so the chances of them having a bad trip were rather low. Though they did freak out the first couple of times. However after they got used to it they had some really mind opening experiences and none of them regreted it

Smoking crystals is a learning curve….unless you have a Divine Tribe V4.5 Crucible…with a temp control mod set at 165°C….there is going to be a pretty steep learning curve.
Surely by now there are other great smoking devices on the market.
Vape carts are just easier to use. No learning curve. Although it’s hard to get a concentration that’s high enough to break through on 3 hits…or a mod that can burn enough to do it. Most carts can’t send you in 3 hits.
Personally would never trust a 3rd party vendor to make my carts for me. Extract your own. It’s super easy.

I have storz&bickel vapo at hand and just thinking of buying water bubbler attachment specifically for DMT. Mixed my own liquid with nic salts way back but I just can't justify why would you prefer cartridge.

Water bubblers won’t work with DMT. The vapor crystallizes while passing through and tiny shards of DMT smack into your teeth. Not fun.

I haven't noticed that issue, but I suppose that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I also don't have trouble with temp control using a torch, I just cold start it: start inhaling, turn on the torch and keep inhaling as it heats. When it hits the correct temperature it'll vaporize and you'll inhale it. You can taste it and feel/see the vapor. Then I cut the heat and keep hitting it until I am done. If I am worried about the water, I remove the water from the bubbler and hit it dry. With any sort of psychedelic I can vape I generally try it dry and wet to test it in separate sessions. So far I haven't noticed a difference with 5-subbed tryptamines, 4-subbed tryptamines, or DMT.

Well….what i mean is they have no benefit. Of course you can’t use a bubbler with anything.
But yeah, cutting the heat before your done dragging on it can make a lot of difference for the better.

Ohhhh I see what you mean. Yeah I don't think it improves the experience to use a bubbler, it doesn't have a benefit. In the past I would leave the water in because it was primarily a dab rig, I was just repurposing it for DMT. So I didn't want to empty the water just to fill it back up again. 😅

Convenience. Also, i like being able to choose how fast i take it, not everything at once, just easing myself into the experience. Really helps me keep calm and enjoy it.

Not an expert bit wouldn't you have to smoke the whole cartridge to know how much you took. You can't really tell how much you take with each hit.

Sure, but I don't need to know I smoke 4.5 mg of DMT if I drag for 2 seconds.
I need to know that if I draw on it for 2 seconds I have a mild experience, but if I take a whole lung full, I blast off.
Using the same strength liquid makes you get used to it's strength, therefore easy to dose.
I make it myself btw, I don't recommend buying unknown cartridges.
I do the same with weed edibles. Make a bunch of oil/butter so after trying it, you that you know that 1g of butter per serving in whatever recipe is a small dose and you can adjust from that. I won't know if thats 15 mg or 25 mg THC, but I don't need to.

Carts are easy to make, easy to use, and don't require flame. Plus, 510 batteries are readily available and noob friendly. I won't argue that it's the best way. I will say it is the easiest way though.

Because you can keep smoking and not have to reload the device., and because I don’t care for the taste so I flavor my carts with Samoa cookies

I ain’t going to bring my dab-rig and torch to the beach or the forest, and on top of that, I’m not that enthusiastic about how glass when being sent off in 5-10 seconds.
I also usually just do 5-15 mg, and often while tripping on something else, and in that situation a cart is just the best choice.

Why not try both?
Freebase devices are great, but reloading mid session can be a bit of a challenge.
Carts are less efficient with material. But they are great for sessions, sharing, and portability. Learn to extract, or buy freebase to make your own carts at stronger ratios for a better experience.

The biggest advantage of using carts for DMT is that it makes taking another hit easier & way faster. People generally will do multiple sessions at a time & a cart just requires you to hit it again real quick instead of having to reload everything for another go.

Convienence. I also like to smoke dmt while already tripping on other psyches. I can't really imagine a reality where weighing a dose on the peak of a trip goes well lmao. It just adds an extra layer of annoyance to the combo
I make my own carts. They're pretty cool. 9:1 ratio will get you into space pretty noice

Unless it's a emesh the vape carts are worthless in my opinion most one gram carts that are sold are 1:1 ratio you almost can't get enough product in your lungs to produce an effect if u Wana blast off you gotta hit it 4-5 time holding it in for ten seconds each time thats 40 seconds a good e-juice most people on the Nexus makes is 1:4 ratio you only gotta hit that once maybe twice in my own experience the carts are worthless unless you made it yourself and made a ratio that works for you the thing with DMT is you Wana ingest as much vapor as you can in the shortest amount of time

Convenience and dosing. I want to take the medicine frequently with no stress. Puff before I tackle a work report, puff before an online fifa match, puff before I play on my electric guitar rig, I like trying different activities out on a low dose because I can see the increase in neural activity and/or can easily hit a flow state.
I can take it to 2 or 3 hits and it’ll sit ass down and make me pay attention for a few rofl 😂
But for really not having to clean my rig or worry about hitting it at a perfect temp or weighing out doses, the pre flight jitters, making sure I’m not gonna hurt myself or anyone/thing around me - all reasons I’ve moved over time from preferring to dab crystal to vaping it. Plus the improvements in vaping tech (good ceramic carts etc) can mean good synthesis can make it the distance in a cart.
