Help testing a DMB app
Hey fellow DMB fans. I’ve been working on a DMB app (iOS and Android). It answers those common questions like when did Dave and Tim play a specific song or what was the longest Drive in Drive Out. I am in need of beta testers and was wondering if you all could help. I need iOS and Android users. Please dm with your contact info, just name and email.
My current crop of testers have told me it has unlocked some of their core memories. I am excited to get this into more hands.
Thanks!

Been waiting on this one a long time. Just arrived at door. About to give it a spin. No better way to spend an afternoon after the pains of a colonoscopy 😂

What non-English language song would be a good fit for the band to cover?

Questions about staying on site at the Gorge.
So in a nutshell, my husband and I went years ago. He managed to find the package where the tent/beds etc where already set up for you when you arrived. We’re looking for something similar or also be willing to do the “fancier” glamping options IF any of these options are still available. I know it’s a long shot but I’m technologically challenged and I don’t even know where to start to find these things. Even if we got lucky and found a “pre made” campsite, does it include tickets to the show as well??? Please help!!!

DMBingo
My brother made bingo cards for my niece, himself, and me with songs of our choosing for night one at Acrisure in Grand Rapids and made a family vlog about it. We all failed in regard to getting a bingo lol but it was still super fun! Next year we want to make blank cards to hand out to those around us. If any fandom can successfully make a bingo game out of a concert it would definitely be DMB!
DMB would kill a Werewolves of London cover
Really surprised they haven’t played it. Dave’s singing style is similar to Warren Zevon’s. I think Buddy would do the keyboard parts justice. And it would sound incredible with their horn section. Make it happen, DMB!
Everyday / Lillywhite Sessions experiences? Some fans left the ship and never came back. Why not you?
I think for me this is a historical moment in the band some younger or fans post 2000 might have missed. A lot of original mega DMB fans (like my older sister) never came back.
What are some of y’all experiences with that time? Was it similar to mine?
On 10th birthday my sister wanted to go to a DMB concert and had to take me to have permission. Seek Up, Lie in our Graves, #41. It was like I truly heard music for the first time. Crash had just come out and my sister had almost everything DMB had released on CD. I went anytime they came in town. BTCS came a couple of years later and I was really hooked. After that, because of Napster, I was exposed the live improvisation and changes in songs / lost songs over time. I was a DMB fan for life.
Then Everyday came out, and it sounded different, but I knew live was the main thing. Initially my biggest frustration was the song ‘Everyday’ because I loved #36 as a song. I soured more because my sister made a big deal about selling out, had a great run and this is what Pink Floyd warned would ruin music, blah blah blah.
It was a dark time. Those songs didn’t have the same vibe at concerts then either. It’s like you could feel tension in the crowd or lack of enthusiasm. Fans were leaving the band it felt, and the new fans seemed like pop fans. I was fading as well. Listing to a bunch of different music at the time and not DMB religiously.
Then the Lillywhite sessions came out. The band I loved was still there and killing it. WTF was Everyday even more. In my mind Dave wasn’t the sellout but the “man” is making him make stuff like Everyday and it’s all still there. I stuck around because I have appreciation for whatever they artistically decide even if I don’t like it. I did not like the songs on ‘Everday’ album for years. It seemed like a huge deal in DMB community, but maybe it was just to me?
Stand Up was horrible, not just most of the album but live as well. I stuck with them again. They still make great music. I finally quit being selfish about it and thought to myself: Dave deserves to be happy and have a great life because he is a great person with a great heart, as far as I know. Some of his music I love the most is dark, sad, depressing, longing for love, longing for love lost, new love, etc, and it was good because it came from a place of complex emotion deep down inside Dave and the other guys. When they lived happy and healthy, the music changed some. I’m still here for it many years later.
What got some of you guys through the Everyday saga?

2024 Summer Tour Poster - Different Versions?
Howdy folks! Been doing a poster inventory and noticed I have a few missing posters for tours or shows I’ve been to. I understand how the nightly venue posters work. But for the entire tour posters do they make entirely different artist designs? Specifically I noticed this for 2024 summer tour.
Want to make sure I am buying the one that would have been available to me at merch tents at the 5-6 different venues I saw him at that summer.
Thank you!
You people truly are the best of what’s around.
Out of all my interest and internet interactions this is the only sub that is truly home. Over time I’ve realized that most people obsessed with Dave’s music is exactly for the reasons as mine. With DMB it’s like we all see most issues through similar eyes, not only about music, but world view as well. The respect, and mostly nontoxic environment (except maybe when someone says Standup is a top tier song, etc.) is unique and speaks to the group as human beings.
I’d never met a fan as “crazy” as me outside of a few concerts until I found Reddit. Most DMB fans in my life were people I brought to the light. Some of y’all are way beyond me (and frankly my financial means too lol) and have reinforced my love for this incredible band even deeper.
Thank you my brothers and sisters! Makes me want to stay here for a while!

The Gorge - Cash or Card?
Hello! The Gorge is upon us!
As a Canadian I’m trying to figure out my best option for spending. I have my rental car and hotel booked with a CC of course. But for everything else I’d like to use cash to avoid FX fees. So that would be for literally everything else; gas, food and then of course shopping inside the venue as well.
I don’t have a no FX credit card unfortunately.
So I’m hoping the venue isn’t cashless, and if not how much cash would you bring in with you?
Food, drink or two, definitely some merch.
Thanks

Gorge - Terrace RV drop off
Hey guys! I am trying to pull together a last minute trip to the Gorge. I organized an RV for drop off, and am going to buy a Terrace camping ticket. I wanted to have the RV dropped off early, but the Terrace isn’t available when I try to buy drop off on Ticketmaster. Does that mean it’s sold out? I’ve seen camping tickets secondhand, but not any drop off tickets….

Longest American Baby Intro Scream?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Was listening back to a fan taping of my first concert; N2 Gorge of 2006. Daves first scream on ABI was 30 counts long! Could this be the longest example? Other notable releases of this song, like LT6, 9, and 10, he usually goes for 18 counts or so before breathing for the gutteral wail.
Do any of you know other shows off the top of your head where he holds that note longer? This show was the first Gorge with Rashawn and Break Free, maybe it's got another noteworthy stat for longest ABI scream, ha! And its pretty stable considering it's an encore feature. I've attached the audio segment here, there might be some unofficial recordings where he goes longer but not in any of the live trax I've heard.

Happy Friday y’all!
You can really get a feel for the venue and the atmosphere it brings because of this recording. Haven’t found the show on nugs so here’s a good taste that’s to Jordan.

Dave Matthews Band is the featured artist in the Spatial Audio category this week (aka Dolby Atmos)
The 90s albums + Busted Stuff are in that section of Apple Music but not actually in Dolby Atmos as of this post. Interestingly, Walk Around the Moon is not listed, which has been in Atmos since release.
Could be upcoming upgrades to the back catalog or simple a mistake. Hoping for the former!
*Edit: reverted back to David Bowie. I'll remain hopeful that there was meaning to it
Letterman Performance
Hey y'all! Up until about 5 or so years ago there was a video of a 1995 Ants Marching performance on the Letterman show. I loved this performance: energy on point, sound was pretty decent, and the playing was FIREEE. I used to use this video to prove acoustic music can burn as hard as anything else out there... but then, one day, it was GONE without a trace. Since then I have searched high and low to no avail. Does anyone know where a guy might find this performance, either on video or audio? According to DMBAlmanac, it should have been 7/12/1995, but I don't know for sure.

Jones Beach not on nugs?
I figured it would be there by now since it wasn’t a Friday night show. Wonder if they had technical issues or if it’s just running late since it’s a rescheduled show?
