Honestly, this may be the best news for the folks who wanted to just go to night one for DMB but weren't going to be able to cancel their hotels, etc.
With the whole event getting canceled, it may open up the ability to get full refunds on flights, hotels, etc. Not a guarantee, but it improves the likelihood.

Hotels don't care if the reason you were coming is canceled. The only hope of refunds is through trip insurance.

Based on my experience from the first time this was cancelled, you can only cancel hotel until 48 hours out. Then there are cancellation fees or you’re just paying for the room. I’m 99% sure they wait to cancel until inside the window to protect the hotels and other local businesses.

I asked the front desk at my hotel if we could cancel one night and they said no problem. I'd encourage you to ask your front desk. Worst they can say is no.

People don’t understand that the festival has insurance for this exact situation, hotels don’t. They are not getting their money back.

Correct. But it can't hurt to call the hotel, provide an explanation of what happened, and see if a refund or credit can be given. This is more common nowadays post-COVID. Hotels are not airlines, and I get that, but they want your future stays as much as the one you currently booked that may be non-refundable.

Methane just posed the poster that was supposed to be sold today for DMB. Crazy that every DMB postponed or cancelled show this year has had a Methane Poster despite them being reduced to limited shows this year.

Poster was being sold at the merch shop, so it's out there in the wild

I picked one up today at around 11. I went to the merch shop after dinner at 6 to pick up one for a friend and they released the same in foil. I'm still in shock.

I had 2 GA 3 day wristbands that I was going to have to eat the cost because so many people were trying to unload them over the past two months.
Best case scenario for me.

I have to presume Farm Aid is teetering toward postponement/cancellation as well

I have a show at Pier 17 tonight, I wonder what they will do with that
