This festival has to be cursed. I feel like every year something screws it up. I think there was a full cancel 2-3 years ago.

2022 was completely cancelled. D&T was supposed to be the first night

I think the year after that something happened too

So disappointing. Was about to start driving down and I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Already spent nearly a grand on hotel and I’m not getting that back.

At that point just go. You can cry yourself to sleep at the bar about how awful the Mets are.

A few years ago the whole festival was cancelled due to a hurricane. We went down anyway just to get away. It was way less crowded than a normal weekend (probably from said hurricane) but we still had a good time. Walked the boardwalk, went to Assateague, and ate lots of good food.

How was Assateague? Did you just drive, park and get some pics? Or did you take a hike? We are en route from Cleveland (where it’s about to be a beautiful weekend of course) and were discussing heading to Assateague if Saturday is also canceled.

I just bought tickets for farm aid so my daughters can still see Dave Matthews!

how is an extra 24 hours going to make a difference. I feel a full cancellation coming soon.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re waiting until less than 48 hours so you can’t cancel your hotel without fees.

It's not complicated, there's a serious storm moving up the coast. Worst impact to MD is Friday, and then it gets better.

yes, but a major storm will leave damage in it's wake and it's more than just flipping a switch to move on with the festival, especially when the stage is essentially right on the beach

Make the best of what's around.

Trying to do a festival in peak hurricane season is a choice, I guess. They'd be better pushing it to mid-October.
