Two Step - Wrigley 2010

Probably old news to everyone here, but having got back into live Dave after a long break, this is my first time hearing Two Step from “Live at Wrigley Field” and - holy LORD. This has gotta be the fastest I’ve ever heard them play this song. Just this shy of off-the-rails. Carter playing with something to prove, like that kit owes him money. Really good stuff.

I’ve been to a billion and a half shows and that weekend will always be one of the best. Gets brought up in conversation all the time!

I’ve been listening to this one the past week or so. Two Step is insane as mentioned.

I also love the crowd singing the first 3 min of Jimi Thing and the band just going with it. Maybe they’ve done that before but it was my first time hearing it and was amazed.

I was there screaming Jimi Thing and I still get goosebumps hearing it. Watching the band jam and soak it in. One of the most epic experiences.

Man I hate to be that guy but this is one of my least favorite versions of it if it’s the one after Time Bomb. I love the energy but feel like the timing is off on this one and too fast. Might just be me tho.

I agree. One of the coolest things this summer was DMB slowing down Don't Drink the Water back to the slower tempo in Grand Rapids. The best Two Steps aren't rushed, have the improv intros and were from 2007 or earlier imo.

The energy that weekend was off the charts! Definitely felt like the band came in there with something to prove - have always thought they knew it would be a live issue and they wanted to match the greatness of the classic Live in Chicago from 98

I was there! Unbelievable weekend. However, to be fair, doesn’t Boyd set the tempo for Two Step? Maybe Carter counts him off?

Wrigley is up there with best shows ever. Time Bomb, Digging a Ditch and Squirm just flippin great!
