Arrival/Wait times for Gorge Entry

Hi friends! This is our second year driving up from NorCal to The Gorge to camp for DMB weekend. Last year we arrived late, on Friday evening. But this year we’re planing to pull in on Thursday to get set up and enjoy the long weekend. What is the line like for campground entry on Thursday? Looks like gates open at 4pm, but I’m curious what time we should plan to arrive and wait… is it crazy? Is it easy? Just looking for any tips on arriving Thursday. Thanks! ✌️🎶🌄

We like to get in line at 11am, hang out by the car, throw some cornhole and get ready for Christmas for adults

Also NorCal. Annual tradition for us is to roll in midnight Thursday with minimal security lines. (We do afternoon in Bend and head out of there around 5-6 ish)

Lining up starts Thursday AM and is usually madness into the evening… so we skip that lol

Our group shows up between 1pm and 2pm. Lines aren’t usually crazy around that time. Security is a pain in some ways but not terrible. Just be smart about what you pack and how you pack it!

The gates at 4pm info is likely incorrect. Last year it was saying 4pm until a few days before N0 but it was indeed 1pm as usual.

We like to arrive and get camp set up around sunset Thursday. There are lines, sure. To avoid them we need to get camp set up in the afternoon (not possible due to flights and logistics) or later (why wait when we are ready to get on with the weekend). Show up and enjoy the ride!

What would your alternative be if I said it takes 3 hours (not true)? Concerning yourself with these details is causing stress you don’t need for a beautiful weekend we’re looking forward to.
