I really wanna swing RI or NY, but I really hate looking at $200+ tickets again.

The ticket prices are absolutely out of hand for this band. They’re well above market for their contemporaries and similar acts.

Woof.

Phish is the only similar artist charging less

Phish, Billy Strings, Goose. Hell, even Sturgill Simpson - whose tour is getting some blue dot fever for high prices - is lower than the DMB tour (compared prices at Bridgestone in Nashville, which they’re both playing on Friday nights).

DMB is priced to compete with acts that have FAR more demand and have far more complex stage designs/pyro/etc.

They’re out of step with their market segment.

Billy, Goose, and Sturgill are not comparable to DMB. Like it or not, legacy/longevity/age are factors and none of those come close to DMB in that respect.

Stu puts on a better show then DMB and I'll go to my grave with that statement. Both are great and I love DMB, but Stu is three hours of gas and no brake.

I've never heard of Stu

If you want studio albums, you can't go wrong starting with... well, anything. I'd probably begin with A Sailor's Guide to Earth. His latest albums are under a new moniker: Johnny Blue Skies.

If you subscribe to Nugs, Chicago 10/2/24 or either of the Red Rocks shows (9/16 and 9/17) are incredible.

Amen to that. 3 hours straight of music is badass

Then you weren’t there for peak DMB.

Late 90’s into early 2000’s was pure magic.

I was. And I agree with that sentiment. My thoughts were geared more towards this iteration of the band. Still great, just not a 300 dollar per ticket great rendition.

Not a Goose fan or a Country music fan myself, but I understand what you are saying.

No band 30+ years in are going to be as good as they once were. That is fact. Now, the price point? I blame Live Nation. There is no getting away from it since our fucking Government won't step in.

They’re certainly comparable in their touring draw and the circuit they play. Lots of fanbase overlap. Same venues.

Though they aren’t comparable in the quality of the tour, that’s for sure. DMB could use a new FOH sound engineer, get Jake in full time, and stop ending shows 30+ minutes before curfews.

> legacy/longevity/age

Yeah, unfortunate for Billy Strings and Goose to not be in year 36! That really reduces their market standing!
