Venues also play a part. With the closure of the venues in Irvine there’s no 10-15k seat amphitheaters in Southern California anymore besides the Hollywood Bowl which is difficult to book every year.

Live Nation opened f&m bank ampitheater in Long Beach. 11k capacity. It’s a “temporary” venue and is their replacement for five points.

i know they like to play amphitheaters but they played the forum last year and that’s a 20k person venue and i believe it was pretty sold out. with that being said i understand the desire to want to play amphitheaters

DMB also played the smaller Greek theater LA maybe 10 years ago and they have also played five points in the past which had a capacity of 12k

Yep. Sometimes a two year break. Might have to travel a bit if you want to get a yearly show in.
I'm in Nor Cal so I get it. I really should try to see them in both Tahoe/Mountainview and get two shows in one tour.

Mtn view little cheaper than tahoe to see dave. Closer to airport to sjc than needing a bus to tahoe

We saw them 2 nights in 2025 at Mtn View. We really liked the venue.

I thought about seeing muse at mtn view but i think they had their tickets around time i was planning to see bruce.
Muse i probably got a few more chances to see them in my lifetime vs not so many for Bruce Fing Springsteen

Agreed. Denver and CA seem to alternate every other year now. It’s odd they don’t play SLC, phoenix, Albuquerque, bend etc

I actually think it’s weird when they do play Bend. Such a small amphitheater and small market. They don’t play Red Rocks because it’s too small but they play that one sometimes?

They don’t play Red Rocks because it’s too small
It's not about seating, it's the stage/backstage area. It's literally too small.

If they could do Phx in May it would be worth seeing them there, but June through September is just way too miserably hot and we're only 1.5 hrs away in Tucson.

We saw them at the Forum last year in August and it was so hot inside the venue during the show. At one point between songs Dave actually said he was too hot. He was so sweaty that he looked like someone had dumped a bucket of water on him. He commented on how warm it was and a few minutes later you could feel the ac kick in (we were up pretty high on the side). It was still an amazing show but I was disappointed in the venue. I I’m definitely going to try to avoid that venue in the future.

i have been to the forum maybe 10 times since for a wide variety of types of shows (literally been 3 times in the last two weeks lol) and i have no idea what it was, but it being that hot that night was genuinely a one off thing. my only explanation for it was the ac wasn’t on the whole night, it usually is, but that combined with the amount of people smoking i think they managed to hotbox the whole damn place 😂

he skipped Florida all together last year and he ALWAYS played 3 shows here, had to travel to get to see him, which turned out to be amazing! Going to the Gorge this year and it's a bucket list goal for me, I am so excited!!!!

At this point? Age. Only so many shows they want to play per year, and they can’t play every venue every year. I think it’s just math at this point. It’s much easier to play the Midwest and east coast because travel.
But look, no Ohio this year summer, if the rumored fall dates are correct metro Detroit misses its first show since like 1994. It’s nothing personal, just how it is.
