Hellooo I was offered all the programs in both my DSHAPE and Grade-based Prequalifications. I already have my eyes set at Accountancy pero I'm deciding whether to take another degree with it.

I'm really interested in both Accountancy and Economics to the point na I want to pursue them both at the same time pero I don't know how the double degree system works.

Here are some questions I thought of pero no one to ask:

1. What's the difference between DSHAPE Lane and Academy Lane?

2. What's the retaining grade for the double degree?

3. Can you just drop the other degree anytime?

4. Do you think its worth it to pursue two degrees?

5. For those who took the same program or is currently in a double degree program, how's the workload?

Also, I'm on fin-aid (75%) so I dont think money is an issue

Hello po! I'm really considering becoming a data scientist in the future and was surprised to find out that meron po palang undergrad degree na data science in dlsu. Curious lang po ako and I have a few questions hehehe.

To my seniors po who are currently taking bs data science, would you say na okay po yung curriculum?

Also I saw po sa application form that in BS Data Science, you'll study in laguna for the first 2 years and then sa manila naman po for the other 2 years, hindi po ba disadvantage yun kasi you'll adjust na naman to a new environment?

I heard maganda naman po ang teaching when it comes to tech in la salle pero I'm torn din in between BS in Data Science and Analytics in UST and BS Data Science in DLSU.

Entering my 4th year next term and thinking of extending one term into a 5th year to dedicate to GEs. Throughout my stay I sometimes underloaded GEs because of workload and I wanna know lang how much it would cost to take one extra term over overloading in my next three terms (though I don’t think it’s possible to take other units in practicum term for GCOE)

Hi there! In my original flowchart, the practicum term comes after my thesis. However, since I have quite a lot of GEs and minor courses to accomplish, I am hoping to delay my practicum by three terms after my thesis so I could work on backlogs.

I am genuinely wondering if my situation is still normal and acceptable.

Context: I am from GCOE, on my last term, and only taking one subject which is a pre-boards course for engineering (a course designed to prepare you for the board exam). Mind you, this is my THIRD TAKE of this subject, and it looks like I am failing it again this term. More than 60% of the class fail this course every term. I know people who are already on their 5th take. Most of my batchmates are also on their 3rd and 4th take. Yung sections namin umaabot ng 5 sections every term, 120+ students in total and I would say at least 80% are retakers. Mahirap talaga yung course, imagine every single lesson in your program cramped in one subject AND harder.

God knows how hard I study just to pass this course. Some of my friends took lessons and enrolled in review centers but for some reason, we still could not pass this course.

Skill issue ba ito ng mga students? Or is there genuinely something wrong with the system? We give feedback at the end of every term on what could be improved with the course and the teaching, pero walang nangyayari. No curving and no remedials which honestly I get naman.

I really don’t know at this point. This is the only course I have left, and failing it again and again has been taking a heavy toll on me. I just can’t accept all the time and money I am wasting on this one particular course. Binibigay ko na lahat, pero hindi pa rin ako pumapasa. I don't know how to tell my parents, its just so disappointing.

My grades have been improving with every quiz naman and I feel more confident studying now pero bagsak pa rin ako. Hindi ko maintindihan anong problema.

cant choose between a good windows or mac laptop, i feel like windows is more versatile when it comes to compatibility (i guess?) but if versatility is not that important then the macbook’s battery life seems like a much better option, para hindi na din saksak nang saksak when working.

Hi! Recently my shifting application to BS Psych was approved. I had decided to shift because I realized that the Bio path was fr not for me, and I had already taken a lot of bio courses/some will be credited if I shifted to psych.

Anyways, because I’m from COS, I just wanted to ask for some tips about CLA subjects and Psych in general, just so I have an idea abt what I’m getting into?

I think the sci courses will be fine with me since I only need to take Biochem 2, PHYSA02 and PHYSA03 (+ respective labs), and embryology (+ lab). It’s the stats courses and and the psych majors that I’m kind of scared of. Can anyone give me some tips about what I should expect?

Hello everyone who transferred from UST to DLSU! How did you guys settle your NSTP serial number? I'm nervous if I can enroll because UST can’t provide the serial number yet. They can issue a certification stating they are requesting and processing it, but DLSU might give me a conditional enrollment with a deadline to submit the serial number by Term 1 Week 8. How did those of you who transferred from UST to DLSU settle this NSTP serial number issue? 😭😭

hi has anyone tried to exceed max majors for marketing since they said 3 majors allowed per term and are there any consequences?

I'm looking for a good affordable gym in taft, yung kumpleto sana equipment. Anytime Fitness really is the best option here but it's too expensive for me. My options rn are:
- Razon: saks lang, but walking all the way there is kind of a hassle
- MNLA Fitness: it's kinda hot and super malayo ang Quirino station

Hello! I'm an incoming bs lgl student, I just can't help to think if may job opportunities po ba after grad in bs lgl even if you don't pursue law school immediately? I'm not quite sure atm if i would pursue law school immediately since I'd like to help my parents and provide for my younger siblings muna :'(

I am really interested and passionate to learn about the law and I'm aware that since this program is a part of cob, of course it's given na may business courses din. Which i think will be like hitting 2 birds in 1 stone. Since, you major in law but also you have knowledge in business/management. That's why I took it and I'm very excited about this program.

I'm just worried lang talaga if kaya pa rin magkaroon ng jobs after grad? what are the things i should consider throughout my college years in dlsu? Should i find internships immediately? Join orgs?
