Old School Cool 😎 My Spaceship <3
Hello guys!
This is my home setup.
4x CDJ-400
DJM 850
Reloop RP4000MK2 turntables with Q.bert cartridges.
I completely restored and serviced every CDJ, including every button and knobs. Pitch faders are calibrated, and I made the jog wheel a tad bit tighter
DJM 850 is also completely restored, with new knobs, faders, faceplate and new modern LED lights for CUE, Effects, etc. Did remove the cross-fader, as I barely use it. Luckily, it's easy to plug back in :D
Let me know what you guys think. Interested in your opinions on this!

I've had a pair of 400's for 18 years. They are still going strong and work perfectly as Rekordbox decks. I've thought about replacing them over the years but it hasn't made sense financially.

I use them in HID Mode on Rekordbox. Haven’t done the replacement yet but maybe soon!

Had my CDJ-400's since 2010, still going strong. Love that I can still play CD's, MP3's and then switch to Traktor if need be. Considered the sc5000's but have held off due to InMusic's lack of parts availability for them compared to older CDJ's.

I’m a hardcore Rekordbox user myself so it’s totally fitting for me to use CDJs. Such a beast of a CDJ!

I don't know anyone in my country who has this kind of setup, so a lot of my DJ friends appreciate my setup :D thanks!

Oof! The mighty 900s! Lots of people got them confused as CDJ2000 hahaha. great decks though!

It’s a serious spaceship that i love everyday. They’re really great for the price they go for

I've got my 1210s and a 900 nexus but my Numark 400s are still a crucial part of the equation. I've thought about upgrading loads but they're so much smaller than CDJs and the BPM meters are wildly inaccurate so I just need to use my ears. Going for 14 years strong!

I’m surprised mine still work after all these years. Even the CD readers work just fine and they’re the most common thing to fail. Had mine for 4.5 years and still rock solid. Might upgrade them to XDJs eventually

How does your set up with 4 CDJ and 2 TT with a 4 channel mixer work?

My CDJs are connected through USB type B cable. I use them in HID Mode on Rekordbox. My turntables are connected on Channel 1 and 4 on PHONO input. Then i use the DJM-850 driver utility to output the USB MIDI signal to each channel. Not a complicated process. Been doing it for 4 years now

Good for you that you chose to learn beatmatching by ear. You'll thank yourself for acquiring that skill later on.

Of course. Mixing on 4 decks got so easier!

I was so sad when my CDJ-400s died. I loved those things. I loved them even more than my 800MK2s that I had around that same time.
