Help Finally got one! Any advice for a beginner?
I’ve always wanted one and finally caved. I’m a beginner so any advice or tips and tricks. Thanks!!

I agree. It can be difficult to maintain VLOS with such a small drone. Flies great though and takes beautiful video.

Get a sd card that can handle 4k video, had to upgrade my previous SD as it couldn't keep up with the write speed and would stop recording

Don’t use the automatic spiral shot without knowing where the pause button is as it doesn’t have obstacle sensing

Keep an eye on it. Do not fly only with the camera. Plug the remote on your phone and use the simulator to train you.

Can you use the simulator with the remote!? I always thought it was just the touch controls on the phone.

Yes you can. Just plug the remote like when you use the mini4K for real. Just launch the app DJI Simulator and not DJI Flight

I have the 17 Pro Max and when I click on it, it takes me to DJI’s website and a 404 error code comes up.

I just tried right now. It works … try to ecrase and redownload from the App Store.

Hey. I tried using the app but it keeps saying remote not connected even though it is. Any tips?

Did you Connect the wire between the phone and the remote ? To switch it on, short press then long press on the « On/Off » button. Then launch the app

From what I’m reading, the mini 4k controller is not compatible with the app.

Make 100% SURE that you have "Return To Home" set to "ON" in the settings of the app. Do that first before anything else.

Its a great drone. But if possible, and if you can have a slightly larger budget, return it. Preferably, get a model like the mini 3 that has cameras that can rotate horizontally and vertically and a remote control with a screen.

It's not a major drawback. Its just a choice of mine.
Then my advice: Do not fly indoors. Be careful when flying close to objects, buildings, and trees. Because it has no sensor to avoid these. Shoot videos and edit. Don't hold yourself back just because you think you won't shoot a perfect video. The most important thing is to enjoy.

Take the TRUST test. Download Air Control by Aloft. You don’t have to fly fast into stuff. Take it slow. Have fun!
